From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Mr. Mathew at the front desk, whose helpfulness and politeness made the administrative process seamless and stress-free. My driving instructor, Ms. Runge, was outstanding. Her calm, polite, and humble nature created a comfortable learning environment, allowing me to build confidence behind the wheel. She provided clear instructions and valuable feedback, which were instrumental in helping me develop safe driving habits. Overall, the professionalism and dedication of both Mr. Mathew and Ms. Runge made my learning experience at Austin Driving School highly positive. I would highly recommend this location to anyone seeking quality driving instruction.

Experiencia fantástica: Called Tuesday afternoon to schedule a driving test, scheduled for Friday afternoon same week. Office paperwork went smoothly, and one-time, driving instructor was calm and reassuring for my son during his test. Well worth the expense and then simply had to drop off the paperwork to get his license. Recommended.

From the moment we arrived, the office staff treated us with the utmost politeness, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. Ms. Runge, my instructer, in particular, has the most pleasant and calming demeanor. She effortlessly creates a comfortable atmosphere that puts you at ease from the very start. Her instructions were clear, concise, and provided with plenty of time to follow, which made the test feel manageable and even enjoyable. I highly recommend her – she's truly exceptional at what she does. Big thumbs up for Austin Driving School.

Experiencia negativa: very POOR business practice!! Will take your pre-paid $400 and NEVER answer their office phone. The Anderson mill road location is a NO NO for parents that like to pay for our kids learn how to drive. DO NOT pre-paid unless you get to place in schedule for driving practice. The office never answer the phone nor respond to your voice mail. I really think parent should have some kind a contract when do a pre-paid like within x-amount of months after paid and not provide service or provide service in some kind of time frame. I ONLY positive feed back from our kid and friends was a patient Turkish instructor is GREAT to kids and GREAT in technical teaching. At the moment of the month 08/2024 ONLY have (2) 2-hrs of teaching driving from each two instructors. That means ONLY 4-kiddos per week. This is insane for business run like this. I am think to get the remaining money back and take to so e where else who care about doing business. Parents, DO NOT waste your time here! 100% NOT worthy!

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely horrible- Don’t sign up here. We paid upfront and have been unable to book the driving sessions. We’ve called several weeks in a row and have heard the same thing every time: “We’re all booked up for the next three weeks. Call next week”. At this rate our daughter will be seventeen by the time she can get her license. #Frustrating

Experiencia fantástica: Austin driving school was absolutely wonderful to me!! Their 6 hour course was online which was wonderful for my schedule, and when I was able to book my road test with them, they gave me a 10 dollar coupon off the drive test!! Ms. Touchon got me set up with all my drive test paperwork for the dps. She was sincere and so pleasant!!! Ms. Runge did my drive test and was so nice. She got me in and out with success!!! I definitely recommend Austin driving school for anyone that’s getting their license, they are amazing and worth going to!! I tell all my friends and family to use them if they are in the same position. Thank you Austin driving school Anderson mill and I’m grateful for you!!!

MY SON HAS HAD HIS PERMIT FOR 10 MONTHS NOW, ALMOST A YEAR AND HAS ONLY RECEIVED ONE INSTRUCTOR LED DRIVING!!!!!HE MISSED GETTING HIS DRIVERS LICENSE ON HIS 16TH BIRTHDAY AND WAS SO BROKEN HEARTED! HORRIBLE ALL AROUND.

Experiencia negativa: Used the form online to inquire about behind the wheel driving lessons since I heard Austin Driving School recently lost their licensing from the DMV. THREE WEEKS LATER I got a reply that was just a copy paste of their FAQs regurgitating their course options and fees which includes behind the wheel courses. After all this there’s a disclaimer at the bottom of the email: “NOTE: Our Austin Area Offices are not currently accepting Adult Behind-The-Wheel Students until further notice. You may still take our Education course to obtain your permit, but no driving lessons are being offered in the Austin Area. “ So in other words a company named AUSTIN DRIVING SCHOOL has zero actual driving courses in Austin. Definitely don’t bother coming here. I’m sure there’s a reason Texas revoked their license and that’s reason enough for me to avoid them.

Experiencia negativa: They took my money and then canceled the appointment with no refund for two months till now.

Experiencia negativa: Most unprofessional behavior I've ever seen. I called to cancel my driving test, was repeatedly put on hold, then told it was canceled and that my money would be refunded. Then I got a text telling me to show up and that since I didn't, they would charge me a no-show fee. When I tried to explain it to them they just barked at me to show up. Extremely infuriating. I still haven't gotten my refund back. Also inconsistent with driving hours. Go here if you desperately need to get your license but honestly know that you're dealing with some of the most aggravating people ever. They have no online system to book a test yet can set up an automated number to bark at you to come. It's the twenty-first century and the scheduling system is from the eighties.

Experiencia fantástica: I want to say thank you to the staff of the driving school, everyone was attentive and friendly, they treated my poor English with understanding. Recorded by phone with the help of a friend. It is a pity that there is no possibility of online recording through the website, for those who have not studied at this driving school.

Experiencia negativa: Enrolled my son in a driving class a few months ago. His dad took him to the first class today and he came back out after being told the class was cancelled because not enough people signed up. It would have been nice to have received a phone call so I could enroll my son somewhere else. Very disappointed at this unprofessional behavior.

Experiencia negativa: They have half of instructor and can only schedule 1 driving class every 2 month or so. Scheduling system is non existent. They put your name hand written on a piece of paper and you just hope someone will call you back within a month.

Experiencia fantástica: My son took his driving test here — definitely easier to schedule than waiting for a DPS slot. A smooth process but be sure to get all paperwork straight. Teen impact Texas certificate needs to dated within 90 days before the test

Experiencia negativa: This place has been called multiple times to schedule an in person driving class. No one has ever called back. I should have gone to Yelp first and looked at their ratings. This is a very unprofessional business. They take your money way in advance but intentionally plan to not schedule your kiddo for driving. Hopefully contacting the BBB will be the way to helping so many of us parents dealing with the same issue of waiting for months for a call back and proper service.

Experiencia fantástica: Mr. Frost is the best instructor. I really liked that they have pick & drop facility, also the classes were 1.5 hrs long and once in a week. This made such a huge difference so that I could practice & took full advantage of the classes. Not like others where classes are done in back to back 4days. I highly recommend ADS especially Mr. Andy Frost as an instructor.

Experiencia negativa: This place is a joke. It was great until my son got his permit and started the driving portion. It's been 6 months and he's only driven 3 times (needs 7 to finish). Twice they have failed to put him back on the list after driving then he just gets added to the bottom. I have left messages that were never returned and have gotten a message that the machine was full. Went to the office to speak with someone and was told she didn't have time to deal with me. If you want your child driving anytime soon go somewhere else or do it yourself!!

Never answers the phone and when they do, they say they will call back and never do. I’m going to a self taught school. Seems like I can do a better job as a full time working single mother.

Experiencia fantástica: My instructor was Victor, and I highly highly recommend him. He made me feel extremely comfortable behind the wheel and in 4 lessons I went from having no real driving experience to feeling confident enough to immediately take the road test and I passed with flying colors. He taught me how to parallel park in 2m and made me keep redoing safe turns and lane changes till they felt natural to me. He’s definitely an experienced and extremely competent teacher and anyone who gets paired to work with him is in good hands.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT USE THIS SCHOOL. Trying to schedule at the Anderson Mill/Northwest location of Austin Driving School has been an overall abysmal experience. I was told that my daughter would be done with her 14 hour driving/observation experience in January of 2020, and now, at the end of November 2019, she has only been scheduled for 6 hours. And they are completely booked for the rest of the year. The office is disorganized and unhelpful. Please take your business elsewhere.

Experiencia negativa: They are really bad, they got you scheduled super slow, whenever i call for a schedule, all they do is put me on wait list, and usually took 2 montha between each drive time. Even though i have a special need for getting done their drive time asap, but they keep me waiting over and over, its been 8 months since i registered and i have only completed 5 class.

Experiencia negativa: This location on Anderson Mill is a hot mess--mind-bogglingly disorganized! Were told when we signed up that could get driving sessions every two weeks. It's been four weeks now since my son's last behind-the-wheel lesson and were just told that it'd be a few weeks more because "his card is almost up," I'm assuming in the rotation? Do they not keep a schedule on a computer? Imagine how convenient it would be if customers could schedule online? I imagine it would help resolve their staffing issues as well. You see how many students have signed up and then schedule your instructors accordingly. But oh that's right, this location has only ONE part-time driving instructor for 150+ students?! Bottom line: Do not recommend this place. They misrepresented how quickly the behind-the-wheel portion could be completed to prospective customer and thought it was a valid explanation to customer that they have only one part-time instructor. If you know you've signed up X number of students who have an expectation of getting behind-the-wheel driving instruction done in a timely fashion (we were told every two weeks), why don't you have more instructors

Experiencia positiva: We've put 3 kids through this school over a period of 5 years. They do all the basics well and our kids have learned the things you would expect from such a business. As a lot of the one star reviews say this org is pretty tech illiterate - everything is on paper and/or by telephone. With that being said we just set a reminder for 2pm the day to schedule the next drive and we've had no problem getting good slots.
