He has great knowledge of what will be on the test as well as routes they will take you on. Experiencia fantástica: Aaron is very effective at teaching skills and techniques to help you pass the test. I passed the test on my first try this week after taking several lessons with him! He allows room to make a few mistakes and gives constructive criticism to improve driving skills. The vibe and atmosphere is good. I went from someone being afraid of driving on the freeway and now, I am most comfortable driving on it. I like that he has a student driver sticker on his car, because that is a signal to others on the road to be patient. He was very accommodating with my school schedule. I definitely recommend him as your first go to, to get your license on your first try.

Experiencia negativa: Edit: Notice his derogatory response to the negative comments but never addresses the positive reviews. The man obviously has anger issues. Consider that before you decide to spend your money and maybe look for another school. If you are an INDIAN, DO NOT TAKE A CLASS WITH HIM! He's extremely racist! Even if you are not Indian, this man doesn't have the patience and understanding to be a good driving instructor and I would not recommend him. In Bay Area, I have taken lessons with Bay Hill Driving School as well, and would recommend them instead. Read more about my experience below. I took a 3 hour driving practice & test package and I had high expectations but the experience was absolutely horrible: 1. A driving instructor who cannot stay calm and keeps yelling shouldn't be teaching driving. 2. Aaron has the roads to Santa Clara DMV memorized and expects everyone else to have excellent memory of the DMV roads. Example: Dude started snapping at me when I clarified where the next exit was when he was navigating me LOL 3. Obvious cash grabbing techniques to try and get me to take more classes with him. 4. Casual racist remarks about my country and race is NOT FUNNY!

Experiencia fantástica: I had a great overall experience with Aaron. I did a preliminary lesson right after i got my permit and had very little road experience and this helped to boost my confidence. I did another lesson 2 days before my drive test and we went over more specifics and test scenarios. I booked Aaron the day of test and used his car and we did some practice before the test which was very helpful for me to warm up and pass on the first attempt! Stick it out and if you’re not confident with you skills, take more lessons. Aaron knows his stuff and will help you pass.

Experiencia fantástica: Super friendly guy and knows all the ins and outs of the exam for pretty much any DMV location! Had a lot of useful diagrams and tips and tricks that helped me improve my driving a ton in only 2 hours. Passed my exam on the first try right afterwards :)

Experiencia negativa: My personal experience with Aaron was not that great. In the first session, he was very aggressive if you messed up with something or it was not up to his expectations. He had an aggressive tone and would raise his voice if you made a mistake. The only benefit from him is that you can schedule courses in a day, which is the only reason why I took his sessions. If you have little amount of time to complete your permit, then use him. Otherwise, there are much better driving instructors in the Bay Area with a calm manner.

Experiencia fantástica: Aaron is a very good driving instructor. I know that because I was a very nervous adult learner and I just passed my behind-the-wheel test. Aaron's instruction made me more confident and assured behind the wheel. So, if he can teach me, he can teach anyone! Aaron knows the DMV testing process very well and will conduct lessons with you in the neighborhood of the DMV testing location. This made me comfortable with the neighborhood and helped me know what to expect on the test. He also instructs in good defensive driving techniques. These go beyond what is on the test and set students up to be confident and safe drivers after they get their license.

Experiencia fantástica: Aaron is great at teaching good habits & defensive driving. I was a very nervous completely new driver and I passed the road test on my first try after 6 classes. I felt very calm during my exam thanks to him. As long as you're actually trying to learn, you're in great hands. He can seem strict but it's to help you be safe and helps you learn. He's of course also very knowledgable about the specifics of the DMV exam.

If Aaron is your instructor, you're better off than everyone else when it comes to passing your driving test.

Experiencia fantástica: My son took couple of lessons with Mr Aaron Hui, and passed the driving test with only 2 errors. Mr Hui pays attention to detail, and teaches according to the driving manual. He also showed my son the various DMV routes, so he could be confident to pass the test with ease. Mr Hui can speak Cantonese too, in case some parents may find that helpful. He reminds me of my own driving instructor back in HK, who focused on building a good foundation and developing good driving habits.

Experiencia fantástica: Aaron is truly the best driving instructor who goes above and beyond for his students! I did my road test today and was wrongly failed by the examiner for something that wasn't stated in the DMV handbook. Aaron immediately knew that I was tested unfairly (as he knew the handbook inside out) - he advocated and fought for me to dispute it, and I was granted a retest immediately! The second examiner (who was the manager) commended him and said she has never seen an instructor fight for their student like Aaron did. Thanks to Aaron, I passed the retest with full marks! Although I had previous driving experience in Canada, he taught me SO MUCH and corrected all the bad habits I didn't know I had. I wouldn't have passed my road test with flying colours on a single try without him. He is very quick to respond and was able to schedule my lessons and road test within a week. Thank you so much for everything, Aaron!

Experiencia fantástica: Passed my driving test today. Stats - 6 class and 2 attempts. First took 3 classes and a driving test which i failed. Then i followed it up with a series of back to back 3 class sessions followed by a test which i passed About the classes first 3 classes will be - turns, signals, right turn on red, left turn on green About Aaron: Aaron knows his driving and has years of experience on the road. He teaches you a lot of tips and tricks that help with driving (example: 9, 12, 3 method when trying to right turn on red) Familiarity with the test center: When i had my test in los gatos and redwood city, We spent time going over all the possible test routes so that we can be familiar with the road. This is important since there are pesky stop signs that are blocked by trees / bushes. Overall: I really liked the classes and glad that i took it with Aaron!

He is always on time and gives lots for tips and helpful advice for safer driving. We spent time practicing and familiarizing around the Santa Clara DMV area, it helped me to pass the driving test on very first attempt! Highly recommended. Charges: 160$ for 2 hour session. 280$ for driving test car rental.

Experiencia negativa: Booked classes looking at the reviews here and as the larger driving schools were booked. My bad. The instructor, Aaron, was very unprofessional, repeatedly pulled at my elbow (you can touch the steering if you want, not me!), and yelled at me because my hand motion during turns was not exactly as he mentioned a few min ago. The road was empty the whole time and I didn't do anything unsafe. If I could already drive perfectly just by listening to instructions, I wouldn't be spending 80$ / hr to practice with an instructor. I would directly take the test. Giving one star only because I cannot write the review otherwise. I felt unsafe driving with him, would not recommend

Above all, he emphasizes developing good driving habits and ensuring your confidence is channeled in a calm manner. Whatever your goal is (improving driving, passing a test, etc.) I can confidently say that Aaron has the skills to help you. To be a good driver on the road, you need to: ∙ think quick ∙ react accordingly ∙ focus your attention ∙ make decisions ∙ be aware People who are sensitive to criticism should consider that as a driving instructor, he has to make sure you are being safe on the road. His blunt commentary on my driving definitely burned for a quick minute, but then I realized it's not a personal attack. He's making sure that I'm not a driving-hazard while on the road. Within the first appointment, he was able to point out all my bad habits and explain in depth on how to correct them. What makes him a good instructor isn't his ability to baby-step you through driving. He treats you like an individual who should be prepared to develop and exercise a responsible attitude towards driving. I believe his best feature as an instructor is his goal-focused mentality. You can openly communicate your concerns and personal goals and he will work with you on achieving exactly that. Keep in mind, you will be driving in a car that I call a "point A to B" type of car. Which is somewhat realistic for many first-time drivers. Plus, I believe it is important for people to get comfortable driving any kind of car. Different cars create difference environments/experiences for people. His cars for practicing may not be the most luxurious, but can provide a good base understanding of controlling an automobile. So thank you Aaron for helping me! You did a splendid job and I would direct anyone looking to practice their driving to you.

Experiencia fantástica: Had an awesome experience with Aaron! Met with him just 2 hours before my drive test for a lesson. He quickly gave me very useful tips and insights to help me improve some of my driving habits and techniques. Showed me several scenarios using videos and with toy cars and drawings. We spent time practicing around the DMV and he helped me become familiar with the streets and one ways in the area. This greatly helped me pass the test on the first attempt!

He suggested to go to the DMV during off hours, so she could get familiar with the routes and able to point out to her what she should pay attention to. Every DMV locations are different and have different "traps". He is definitely very experienced.

I am an adult driver immigrated to USA, and needed that eye of someone who could help me identify and correct some bad habits, and get used to driving on the other side of the road, with all the rules required to be followed.
