Experiencia negativa: Extremely difficult to schedule driving times, especially for a high school student who is in school when the drive times go online. Wasn't able to complete all the drives in the necessary timeframe

Experiencia positiva: The teachers are hit or miss. There are some good ones. The schedule do fill up quickly so it is not easy to find instructors. The worse thing is their online course work. The lessons are broken down into too many small segments so it takes unnecessary long to go through them and too many clicks by hand. The lessons keep repeating the same content. I’d rather see shorter content and replay the same lesson than meandering through endless number of lessons, some useful and some are not. Some are literally two sentences. Worse, between segments, an obnoxious tone is played repeatedly. It is constantly ringing in my head. It is terrible. I try to give positive vibe I review but this tune that is played repeatedly is really too much. It is not professional and the lesson needs to be edited down to reduce duplication and blank air times with no content, and to reduce the need for me to click on my computer

Experiencia negativa: This place is terrible. I have only been able to schedule one drive and have been trying to get another drive for almost 5 months now. You have to log in EXACTLY at 10 am on Wednesdays and refresh the driving schedule every minute (this is what they told me to do) for a chance of getting an appointment. One week I was at work and wasn’t able to log in exactly at 10 and i logged in a 10:04 and they told me I logged in too late. It’s so inconvenient and they only schedule one week at a time. The one drive that I did get, they were really rude when I told them I paid for these classes to learn how to drive. They told me that they don’t teach you to drive in this course and it’s just for practice. The whole time the instructor was really laid back and not teaching me anything. This class is not worth the $400 you spend !! Save your money !

Experiencia negativa: Horrible. You have to schedule the drives through their website at 10am on Wednesdays. I have been on their website for 8 weeks at exactly 10am and have not been able to get a single drive scheduled at any time. I have spoken with them numerous times and they are very kind on the phone but very unhelpful. I have been on the waiting list for EVERY location and none have been available. They will refund me the driving portion of the bundle but are still charging me $150 for the online portion. I would not have signed up with them if I knew I could only do the online portion. Now, I will only get a $20 discount with Wright Driving School for having completed the online portion or I will need to pay the full fee for going with the public school. This has been a huge wast of my time, stressful, and very expensive for what we got.

Experiencia fantástica: Very good driving education program. Good prices as well and nice people. The online courses were simple and informative. The driver instructors were also very nice and the cars they had were very clean as well. Would recommend.

Experiencia positiva: The classes are good! I would recommend Marcus coz he is the best instructor. So make sure when you enroll in A1, schedule your Class with Marcus.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a really good experience with my driving instructor Ted. He was super friendly and helpful. He gave me tips on how to improve and friendly reminders when I messed up. I’m more confident in my ability to drive now thanks to him.

Experiencia negativa: It is a nightmare to try to schedule anything with them. Rescheduling is pretty much impossible. Instructors expect you to know everything before hand. It creates such a stressful environment throughout the lesson. Big waste of money and time for beginners or anyone who doesn’t have other resources to practice. Even if you’re willing to pay the money you can’t get enough hours behind the wheel with them because they will only schedule one class at a time and for some reason it’s only available once a week. I absolutely do not recommend A1 to anyone.

Experiencia negativa: I don’t know how people had a good experience here. It’s almost impossible to schedule rides, you have to refresh the page every second if you want to have a chance at a class. When you do get a class, you have to deal with mean and soul crushing instructors who act annoyed to have you around and pick at every single move you make. The night before I took my driving class, I had the worst experience with one of them. She seemed to have no idea how to teach anything, she made me feel stressed the entire time. She was mean and acted annoyed when I asked for help. On top of that, she started the class late and finished it early. I paid for a 2 hour class and got 1.5 hours instead. The only two instructors I would ever recommend at this place are Rodney and Marcus. Rodney is a great teacher and very patient. Marcus is very laid back and helps keep new drivers relaxed.

Experiencia fantástica: A-1 driving was very very helpful getting our classes done, scheduling out accompanied drives and observation drives. They also recommended a private entity to get our driver's test done before we returned to live overseas. Thank you so much for all the driving tips as well my daughter still talks about them!

Experiencia fantástica: I am a homeschooled teen and I took the at home course from A-1. The course was easy and educational and I absolutely loved it! The instructors are amazing! If you are homeschooled or just doing want to take drivers ed at school this is an great alternative! 10/10 would recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: Signed up on 2017 fall and finish at the beginning of 2020, paying extension fee for $100 (should be finished in a year). I highly recommend come this sugarhouse location! 1. There are 2 instructors here: Glen Harrison and Sean Hatch. G: 7:40am to 3:55pm. 4 classes for 2 hours per day S: 4pm to 10:10pm. 3 sections Sean is a very AWESOME and passionate instructors. Be sure choose his class if you already know how to drive. He will teach you to be the SAFEST driver. 2. Sugarhouse finally canceled the 9 day in class study. The study didn't help out at all. 3. So many complaints on the registration so the new policy is that you could only register 1 drive per week, not 3 drives in a week in the past.

Experiencia negativa: A-1 Driving School is a train wreck. If you love reloading a website for 10 minutes hoping to get a drive time that won't work with your schedule but grabbing it anyway because their system for teaching people to drive is to not have enough driving teachers and literally zero open drive instruction spots for when kids are out of school, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, find somewhere that has a more sensible way of scheduling teaching. If they don't have enough teachers, they should either take fewer students or close their school. Given what I've seen to date. . . maybe the latter makes the most sense. Seriously, save yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere.

Experiencia fantástica: The instructors in the school are all amazing in that they keep track of your progress. You will get a personalized coaching experience throughout the drives. The classes are also very helpful to know the rules. I just pass the road test thanks to the A-1 Driving School today!

Experiencia positiva: I took a single lesson with Daniel. He was very laid back, which helps with the learner's stress. He also gave a lot of suggestions for the practical exam, which will be really helpful. We went through all the important skills, too, and he taught me some great tips for parallel parking, etc.

Experiencia positiva: I believe that the classes have been vital to information and knowledge needed to prepare for the roads - the instructors are great with drives. Unfortunately I was appalled to pay $320 and go to an office that looks very rundown inside. I was charged $50 for not making it to a drive (understandable) but one of the instructors uses student driving time for a break and doesn't come out to the car until 15-20 minutes later. My apologies, but shouldn't I be getting $20 or something for my time wasted? Especially after paying over $300 I don't have? The instructors demand you are early or on time and yet they are always late most of the time. I believe in living the expectation that you are setting - and they do not live it. I hope and wish A-1 has enough money, with the hundreds of thousands of dollars they receive, that they can AT LEAST get chairs that actually have a cushion. Sitting two straight hours on a metal chair is highly uncomfortable in an already run down office that can use a fresh coat of paint for in-house classes. It is obvious that there is a lack somewhere within the company and the instructors deal with it, rather than getting to enjoy their job in helping students. I truly hope A-1 gets their business together. I feel bad for the instructors. Thanks!

Experiencia negativa: I passed my driver's test. But it had nothing to do with the crotchety old hags that "teach" here. They had weak service and kept telling me the wrong dates.

Experiencia negativa: This school in no way prepares you for your driving test. The education that they give is not what the driving test proctors are looking for. Some of the teachers here are overly strict and mean, and others just don't give a damn.

Experiencia negativa: So Two weeks in advance I schedule and pay in full for my driving lesson. I show up for my scheduled time they told me over the phone. I was told to have a seat and they someone will come get me. After 30 minutes of waiting I ask how much longer only to find out the instructor has left for the day. I was charged 200$ for them to forget to schedule me amd then I am told I have to wait another two to three weeks when they have another opening. No thanks I will be asking for a refund and find a company who can handle penciling me in without forget to do the simple task.
