Experiencia fantástica: It was a great experience, the instructor- an old man, he was so good, complimenting for my driving, he was phenomenal, after having a very bad experience with south Austin branch I’d lost hope of ever getting a license, but this branch is so good, everything was on time and the instructor, he’s a great human being, loved the test and passed. He seemed more excited than me, first time I enjoyed taking a test.

Experiencia negativa: The costumer service is terrible. The lady who answered the phone call literally knows nothing and is rube. Change a job if u don’t like it.

Experiencia negativa: This place is literally a scam and perhaps fraudulent. They will take money and hold on to it for years and never deliver a service. The only day you can schedule is Wednesday, and you will sit on a wait list for literal years waiting your turn. Stay away.

Experiencia negativa: I regret paying for the driving lessons - they are impossible to schedule. Outside of the classroom lessons, they are completely disorganized. When we scheduled driving lessons they have been canceled by the school requiring weeks to reschedule. I scheduled one appointment nearly three weeks out on a Thursday only to be told by the school that it was scheduled on a different day that I would never have considered due to other commitments. Voicemails left go unreturned. We are now four months in and have been able to complete two in person lessons. How can a company that has been around so long not use some kind of scheduling software? Baffling.

Experiencia negativa: I had called to find out more info. about this place, and Elizabeth was incredibly rude. She spoke to me as if I was unintelligent and not appreciated. It was early in the morning, how has someone already made this woman grouchy. Anyways, I sent a message asking for someone to contact me, which no one ever did. So here’s my review instead. Whoever that was needs to be replaced, I ended up going to the local DPS anyways and had zero issues, imagine that. Kindness is free. Hard pass on recommending this place.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!!! My family wasted $400 paying for their in-person course, all for them not to do their job and ultimately help get me a license. In the beginning it was fine, they taught me what I needed to know and let me drive around in town to learn, which all went well, and I passed my test and got my permit. HOWEVER, when it came to getting my DL, the office was slow to respond, they sent me the wrong certificate to take the road test, claimed that I had already picked it up when I had not, which I had to pay extra for. The certificate they sent me wasn't the original and was unsigned. And it took over two weeks to get the "copy" from them, even though they said they would send me the right paper. It's been a lot of back and forth with this company, and they've only added more work as they haven't been of any help. And now I have to take a different course, which I have to pay for, to get my DL. Honestly, I would just recommend teaching your children or whoever is wanting to go here, yourself, or invest on an online course with someone else.

Experiencia fantástica: I loved this place. The exam wasn’t anything stressful they make you feel confident before starting the exam and before you know it you’ve finished the driving test. They are really friendly, I totally recommend this place.

Instruction was given well ahead of time and the coach made the entire atmosphere relaxing! Definitely recommended . Even parallel parking went smoothly - just don’t hit the curb

Experiencia positiva: We had some varied experiences with Austin Driving School. The mechanics of it all worked out OK: there were in-person classes, instructor-led practical classes, and the driving test. All the forms ended up being correct in the end after a misspelling of her name that the incompetent staff were unable to correct for months, and my daughter was able to get her license. However, there were some big hurdles on the way. The instructors apparently had inappropriate stories during lessons (tangents about drug-addicted family members, etc.). The service on the phone was The Worst I've Ever Encountered, with rude people, poor communication skills, last-minute updates, extreme difficulty scheduling, and non-returned calls. Bad. Bad. Bad. Eventually, the Anderson Lane location hired a new receptionist/scheduler and it completely turned around - the new person was professional and easy to work with. Great - but that was 6+ months into our experience, and it made driving lessons drag out months longer than they needed to. So, a mixed bag. Based on our early experience, I absolutely would not use them again. Based on the experience in the last month or two of our time with Austin Driving School, I would. Service makes that big a difference, and it all depends on whether they can hang onto the better hires.

Experiencia negativa: Looking for a place that is a colossal waste of time? A place that doesn’t value their customers and will give you incorrect info every step of the way. Do you like being hung up on? Do you enjoy speaking with rude incompetent people? Then ask your doctor if Austin Driving School is right for you. Here you will receive the promise of all your teen needs to prepare for their driver’s test only to be given all of the wrong information. But don’t worry, they will promise to get you in once every six months for your teen to practice driving so that by the time they are 35 they will be well prepared to take their driving test! Want to schedule the appointments you already paid for in advance to ensure your kid gets the practice they need? Well, I’m sorry, “we only do our schedule two weeks at a time so you’ll have to call back and wait on hold for 3 hours while being hung up on to schedule your next appointment.” They will also ensure that you get the wrong certificate so that when your teen goes to DPS to take the test they will need to sign up for an entirely different certificate and reschedule their appointment for several months down the road. This place is a disgrace to businesses everywhere. I’ve never seen such incompetence in my life. They never apologize or make things right. They don’t give a rats a** about actually helping teens learn to drive or their customers at all. Go literally anywhere but here!!

Experiencia positiva: Poor customer service. I opted to take my road test there and pay $75 (as opposed to taking it for free at the DMV). They gave me someone else's envelope with their documents. As soon as I got home, they called me and insinuated it was my fault. I managed to go back 4 days later to get my envelope with my documents, and the manager yelled at me for not coming back that same day. She was convinced she called me 2 minutes after leaving and made me feel bad, saying I was lying about it actually being 15-20 minutes. She later apologized and was very nice, but I didn't intend to pay $75 to go through this hassle.

Ещё раз моя признательность этой автошколе.

Experiencia negativa: They do not have enough staff to get your hours scheduled and they only book in 3 week time periods. You have to call and hope someone will answer only to be told they will call you back in 3 weeks to try to schedule a time.

Experiencia negativa: If you respect yourself and your time, then don't bother with this company. It took me 6 months to realize the insanity of trying to get basic acknowledgement from this company. Tried to sign my son up for classes over a period of 6 months. Each time I was told to call another number (a fax machine, so no way to leave a message) to reach this specific location. There was only one time where an actual person answered and they said they were putting together a class time and would call me back. They never bothered to call me back, so I called back the main number multiple times and each time was told to just drive over there as they were really short staffed. The main number never had any idea about class times or offered to register us. I tried to be understanding and decided to repeatedly drive by the building and knock on the door, but there was never anyone there. I called one last time (today) and spoke to Michelle who told me that she would take my money (a first!), but it won't make a difference because now all of the classes for the summer are filled. I am wondering how they were all filled and how these other people even were able to sign up. I don't think this is a way to run a business or to treat clients, but it seems they get away with it because the service they provide isn't offered by other companies in the area. I wish I could get all the time that I wasted with this company back. Do not make the same mistake I did.

Experiencia fantástica: Unlike other driving schools in Austin, the receptionists and instructors here are very calm and patient. Mr. Frost was a professional and capable instructor - he told me about hand-over-hand steering so I could take sharper turns. Michelle and everyone else at the counter helped their best in scheduling appointments.

Experiencia negativa: Austin Driving School took our money but now refuse to accommodate our daughter, who is to short to drive the school cars to complete her 14 hours. ADA Regulations require driving schools to make accommodations for persons with disabilities. So far, all we have gotten is the run around. They won't let us use our car, which has pedal expenders, but they keep putting us off. Look elsewhere is you are looking for a school that cares.

Experiencia fantástica: My son had a great experience with Austin Driving School. His instructor was Victor and he was super. He gave clear instructions and was calm with his approach. It was easy to learn from him and my son felt confident to take his driving test. He really enjoyed the lessons. He took his driving test at the Round Rock location and passed with flying colors. We had no problem with scheduling and the entire process was easy. From our experience, we would recommend the Austin Driving School!

Experiencia fantástica: I cant remember the name of the instructor but she was awesome! the test was very simple. She understood that i was nervous to take my test and she was very considerate. I did not want to wait the extra month/ month and a half at the dps to get my license so i paid $70 at the austin driving school and passed the very first time! I would recommend that anyone take their test through austin driving school.

In my first call where I expressed curiosity about the course, whoever answered the call was very rude. I've worked customer service for over 3 years and am generally understanding when it comes to customer interaction, but this was flat out disrespectful and if I acted this way at my job my boss would have words with me.
