Experiencia negativa: Don’t waste your money here. My daughter by accident cancelled her drive time and not even 3 minutes later we called to explain it was an accident. They did not try to understand the situation and are charging me 50 dollars to continue doing her drive times. I think these rules are dumb because it hadn’t even been 3 minutes before the drive time was taken and they were very rude about the situation. I believe this is very unjust because now I will have to pay the 50 dollars for her to continue her classes even after I paid 350 dollars for her to take these drive times. This is very frustrating I just hope this helps someone in knowing to not waste their time or money here. Mi hija tiene dos semanas tomando clases en esta escuela. Ella tenía clase mañana alas 10 am por accidente al entrar ala pagina para checar el instructor le dio al botón de cancelar no pasaron ni 3 MINUTOS cuando hablamos ala oficina para explicar el ERROR y que le pusieran su clase de nuevo, contesto la propietaria y de un modo muy rudo no quiso ceder dijo que no hay excepción cuando alguien más ya avía agarrado el lugar so dinero no va a perder yo entiendo qué hay reglas y respeto pero fue un accidente y marcamos, explicamos pero sin piedad nos van hacer el cobro de $50 Dollar y si no los paga no la dejan seguir con el curso de 350 Dollar por 14 horas es eso o pierdo la mayoría de mi dinero solo lleva 2 clases mi niña muy mala experiencia escribo esto para que lo tomes en cuenta antes de tomar este curso

Experiencia negativa: Don't waste your money. Years ago my I enrolled my child and the instructor didn't teach parallel parking. When I asked why, he said they don't test them on that during the driving test to get their license. They in fact do test them on that and when my child failed the test I called and spoke with the instructor who gave me an attitude and after I express my disappointment in his business and unprofessional lessons he barked out that he would take my child out to parallel park personally and by the sound of his voice, there was no way I was allowing my child alone with him. The price you're quoted is not the price you pay.The woman at the front desk never told me about the additional fees they charge well after classes have begun. These fees are mandatory or your child won't be able to pass.

Experiencia fantástica: Professional and knowledgeable instructors. Mr. Isaac was patient and systematically taught me the dos and don'ts of a manual transmission.

Experiencia fantástica: Love this place! 2 of my children have taken their Road test with this school and we've had a wonderful experience each time. They are very professional, caring, and helpful! Thank you, Jack, for making us feel welcome, you're amazing!

Experiencia negativa: Been trying to call to find out more information and they don't answer the first few times then the kept hanging up.

Experiencia negativa: I was supposed do a 6hr course on Saturday they told me Saturday multiple times on specific dates that I attended only to be left waiting with no one to show between the times they assigned and they didn’t pick up the phone I paid twice for that course this place is completely unorganized if you’re going to have a class on Saturday don’t close your business and have people wait outside for someone to show or at least have someone able to answer the phone

Experiencia negativa: My daughter just finished the book portion of this class today. She made me wait until today to post a review. With that being said, the instructor for this class spent more time talking about her personal life than teaching these kids. She also told them women had no business learning how to change tires. I am pretty sure this is a parenting decision not a strangers. We did not appreciate her crossing boundaries, or the way she belittled the students.

Experiencia negativa: I scheduled for a road test for my daughter whom I trained how to drive. It was $90.00. Where are you from. That was the first thing the road test instructor asked us (we are from ....) oh where is that at ? Then he asked my daughter to follow him to the back, on their way or may be I think once they got to the car he said the kid that was ahead of you did not pass. Once my daughter got in the car and because she is use to driving a different car, and I trained her that when she get in a different car she should always adjust the mirrors and seat before driving. She asked for a minute to adjust the seat and mirrors he said NO lets just go and he proceeded to tell her the way he wants her to drive (If the speed limit is (30 I want you to go 25 or i will fail you, if its 35 you will go 30 or i fail you if you go less than 30 I will also fail you etc... All that made her nervous and uncomfortable. I do not think it is your business to tell the person how you want him to drive. You should only tell them that you are being tested and if you brake the traffic law then you will fail the test. No more No less. The guy is Ignorant and needs to be trained by the professionals at the TEXAS DMV. Asking about where we from really did not bother me then, but after I read the reviews, find out he asked that to a lot of people made me wonder !!!. I think as a parent I would not take my kid to get the licence If I did not think they ready to drive on their own. He failed her because she did her complete stop just a couple of feet pass the stop sign, which she did so to get a better view of the intersection. THEN THEY OFFERED US A $30.00 TRAINING TEST WHERE THEY WOULD TAKE HER THE SAME ROUT SHE WOULD BE TESTED on again . AND $60.00 TO RETAKE THE TEST. RIDICULES PEOPLE, very MONEY HUNGRY. She Passed her test just 5 days later at the TEXAS DMV WHERE THE LADY THERE SAID SHE DID GREAT. TAKE MY ADVICE (STICK WITH THE TEXAS DMV EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO WAIT) Professionals with state supervised employees.

Experiencia fantástica: Island Driving in LaPorte was such a great experience. Joel was an awesome instructor and CJ and Brandy were so nice and informative. The office is clean and inviting. And it smells good too. To top it off, my son passed his road test. I will definitely come back when my youngest takes drivers ed. Thank you for everything Island Driving School.

Experiencia fantástica: I was very pleased to us Island driving for my youngest son. The skills that he learned while driving have been very impressive. He started in the fall and will be taking his test soon. CJ who registers the students for class is friendly and engaging. She cares about all the kids that come through. The driving instructors' attention to detail, patience and clear explanations help make great drivers! The classroom time is not bad either. My oldest children went to another driving school and told me, after their experience, to do parent taught drivers ed. I did this with one child, but was slow and tedious. This school is much better and I am glad that I found it. I recommend Island Driving in La Porte to all my friends.

Experiencia fantástica: We had issues with another driving school so we transferred our son to Island driving school. The other school was so bad that we had issues with the transfer even. CJ and Brandi jumped in and helped out to get the transfer completed correctly. I would recommend them to everyone!! I wish we would have started off with them! Great school! Great people!

Experiencia negativa: The customer service at this establishment is sub-par. They are rude to customers over the phone and they also bad mouth the competition. Completely unprofessional! Now I will for sure use the competition.

Experiencia fantástica: We went there for a driving test, and they had great customer service! CJ was very patient and friendly to deal with. Not only did she schedule the test, she told us exactly what forms to fill out. Then, she checked them over for us to make sure that we would have an easy time at the DPS office. She has helped us with three of these driving tests so far, and each time, we enjoyed our experience with her. She represents Island Driving School very well!

Experiencia negativa: My daughter was belittled by Randy Hymes, one of the instructors, while on a drive time lesson. He blared loud inappropriate music, refused to run the a/c, wouldn’t allow for her to roll the windows down for air and it was July in Texas. During this drive time all he had the kids do is drive him to La Margie to make a delivery to someone. He needs to do his personal business on his own time. I’m paying for a service and this was not it.We rescheduled all other drive times with another instructor, Fred, which is amazing and actually teaches the kids how to drive with respect. Unfortunately we arrived one morning for a drive time and the instructor was Randy Hymes, so I decided to leave. He called me right after we left telling me, he saw us drive away and he knew why and that my daughter had an attitude problem and continued to get irate when I tried to speak. This is extremely unprofessional. I reported him to the owner but nothing was done. Don’t waste your money here.

Experiencia fantástica: Best place to take your kid to get their driving test done. They made the process so easy. We got our paperwork checked and driver's test scheduled in the same week. Everything was in order thanks to Island Driving school and we were able to get my son's TDL at the DPS office with no hiccups.
