Experiencia fantástica: Attended this institution from February 2023 to August 2023 when I graduated and was able to get my Class A license. I genuinely enjoyed my time here and would say that the instructors provided the necessary hands on experience. I recommend this school to all close friends and those interested in obtaining their Class A license.

Instructors where very experienced and knowledgeable on every aspect of gettin me in and out and learning everything I needed for my test. Thank you to the San Jose trucking staff on to my next journey.

Experiencia fantástica: Pretty good school for the price, got my license in 6 weeks. Instructors are cool they’re not on you 24/7 so not 1 on 1 training but they help you when ur stuck on something, so it’s best to get along with the other students as well to help each other out. The faster you get everything down the faster you get out so it’s all on you ! It’s best to go permit ready so u can be out in the yard and won’t be stuck in the classroom.But overall, great school and affordable compared to other schools !

Pros : cheapest around Cons: over crowded, learn by yourself pretty much.. my experience they lost my info saying there’s no record of me attending when I needed help to get a haz mat endorsement. There’s me getting credit for referring my cousin tho and what about the truck I used for the dmv test?management really has an attitude and doesn’t care. Arecele manager wanted to charge 1500 to get my endorsement. SMH she wanted me to pay for the whole class again but really didn’t really care and was lazy non chalant when they can find my info. Don’t go here unless you really need to.

Experiencia negativa: I paid upfront. I thought that since I worked down the street and went to the night classes, I would have a good chance at getting my license quickly. Since I signed up for the night classes, I could take the study packet home. Unfortunately, the packet had many errors. It wasn't much a study guide, more of a test with the answers in the back. Some of the questions were even wrong. I struggled to study with it and did what anyone else would, I turned to YouTube. Thanks to that, I got my permit. Studying at the yard was... strange. There are so many broken-down trucks. I signed up during the winter season. They have only like 3 - 4 lights above their portable office. There is no pavement, only dirt. Pot holes everywhere. I had to learn the parts by myself with a flashlight. After finally learning the parts and the air brakes, I was told I could practice in the truck. I can drive stick, but this isn't like driving an old acura or Honda. The other student that was in the truck with me told me, "Yeah, you're not ready for this. You might as well give your time to someone else." I wish I was kidding, hearing that was disheartening. As far as the actual practice, this is where I got upset. Night classes were 3 nights a week from 6 pm - 9 pm. They only let you practice in the truck for 10 minutes. When there is a list of over 10 people, you don't get any time to learn. I kept a record of the time I actually practiced. For every 9 hours I was there, I only got 1 hour of practice. I was wasting time. The trucks are also really old and not really working. When I practiced the air brakes test, I couldn't use the emergency trailer brake because it didn't work. The Volvo truck had the panel with the emergency brake knobs literally sticking out. I'll never get my money back. I'll never get my time back. But what I can do is leave a review, so hopefully, someone reads it so they don't make the same mistake. Look around and do your research. Cheap doesn't mean better. If something seems a little too good to be true, it probably is. Have a blessed day.

The school prepares you for the ruggedness of the trucking industry. Very inexpensive. Definitely worth every penny. Highly recommended if you are dedicated and committed

Experiencia fantástica: This school is not for the weak in Heart! You have to do the work. Getting your Class A driver license is possible Herr. You have a team of instructors that will assist you with your driving skills daily. There are also updated Videos on YouTube that will help you successfully pass the pre trip and air Brake inspection and test! Richie, Candy, Salvadore, Dave and Carlos, are great staff members there to help push you to success.

Experiencia negativa: I don't recommend it, they just took my money, I had health problems and I couldn't follow up for a while and when I recovered, they just told me I would have to pay everything again, in short I lost around two thousand dollars and that's not right, they simply say that they can't do anything and when I ask to speak to a supervisor, nobody there answers you, I wasted my time and money, they are not honest.

Experiencia negativa: The worst Trucking School ever ! Never ever try to come to this school!!! Can’t get the license in six months they make the students to leave the school after receiving the fee as they did with me and others that I know . their trucks are too old always break down can’t go BTW Practice and the behind the wheel test (BTW Test) is keep rescheduling.

Experiencia fantástica: This school is excellent if you are the type of person that knows how to utilize your time wisely. You have to be a social person if you wish to achieve your goals in a timely manner at this school. Yes there are limited number of trucks & yard space but it's important to make the most of every minute you spend at the school. The yard space is used to master 4 different concepts which are all equally important. Do not spend your time sitting and waiting between rotations for your turn on the skills.. Instead, grab a partner and take turns doing the walk-around, in-cab, and air brakes inspections. Repitition is the key to cementing these concepts in your brain. As long as you are determined to get your Class A CDL it's only a matter of time before you do. The instructors there at the time of this posting (holidays 2021) are the best, don't shy away from asking for help. Candy, the boss lady in the office, is very helpful.

The sales manager, Candy, was extremely helpful in scheduling drive time and my dmv appointment. Plenty of time to master the skills and the driving portion of the exam. Got my drivers license in 2 months. As long as you put in the work and time, you will succeed here. Highly recommend the San Jose Truck Driving School. I will add if your starting the school without a CDL Permit. I had great success with "CDL Written Test Prep" in the app store. I spent a total of 8 hours studying and was able to get my Permit with ALL endorsements on the first try. For the Yard education. for the 2 months i was their. I spent a Average of 8 hours a week on the yard. I out of the school I had spent about 20 hours going over the walk around and air brake tests on a study worksheet they provided. Going forward getting your CDL will take longer then 2 months due to the new state law of having 15 hours behind the wheel time before you can test. I had a total of 4 hours and was able to pass no issue. But I WILL stress this, they wont hold your hand. it is on you to use the tools they provide. The instructors are their to help you polish your knowledge and help you from their.

It can be done guys. Look for a girl name Candy. She is very nice and friendly. She will help you if you are there to learn and make this your career.

Trucks are not functional you will spend 30 minut to put in reverse. 3. Too many students on per truck you will wait 2 hours to get your turn and 5-10 minut practice. 4 dirt road all yard you will breath dust all day. 5. Not enough space to for practice. I went to the DMV to confirm this myself. I myself was upset i couldnt get an appointment but like i said it was DMV not the school,I am happy with my decision of attending this school. I like that they have two trucks to drive on the road.i got my license in only 6 weeks,they have a big yard,bigger than any other school i visted before deciding to enroll,students and staff are friendly,Thank you staff and instructors for helping me every step of the way.

Experiencia negativa: Trucks are super old and broken down and you pretty much have to either learn on your own or from other students. Do not waste your time or money on this place, completely not worth it.

Experiencia negativa: This school is not worth my money or my time! My time more because they never say what they mention at the beginning and all they want is your money but they do not invest time in you and they can careless. All the trucks are broken down and not in good conditions. Everyone waits in turns to start practicing driving and there is no instructor who teaches you, you learn by other classmates instead of the actual instructor. THEY CANCEL DMV Appointments and they never notify us/ classmates on a timely manner. NOT PROFESSIONAL at all! Definitely do not recommend this school.

Experiencia negativa: Bad service, they didn’t let you drive enough in the street , there is a lot of students and few trucks to drive so you need to wait 2 hours to have turn on the skill training the teacher didn’t teach us the skills just the students teach each other

Experiencia negativa: I don't recommend this school. Don't waist your time and money especially time. They continue to accept new students and if you plan on staying all day you only get to practice 4 to 5 times due to only having 2 trucks. The trucks always have complications in fact the truck that one tests on the DMV is not in great conditions. This school has gained bad reputation at the DMV.

Experiencia negativa: Beware Depending on how the office personnel feel u will be charged 1800-2500 for tuition u will also be charged 90.00 a pop for bogus random drug test during the time u attend. 90 percent of students have been struggling There about a year or more many students here fail the dmv test multiple times than this place will charge you to make faster dmv appointments at 80 dollars an appointment.all students attending this place are un happy due random fees and office personal Picking on students I urge you to stop by an speak with students and ask how this place operates you will definitely not give this place your hard earned money.

Experiencia fantástica: I must insist , who ever left such a negative comment about san jose trucking school, i totally disagree ! First off , to be a truck driver you must have a lot of patience and show maturity not only to the school , but to the trucks as well. Thier trucks are not the newest and like everything , they do break down . But i've seen quick improvements and they do take big interest in thier students progress as well as in their truck's maintenance . Plus , their schedule is open for anyone to show up at any time available. Right off the bat they guided me through all the steps to get my class A with the soonest route possible . What i liked the most is that they worked with me and were very flexible .The school did an excellent job on making me feel like they wern't just interested in my money , but in my progress wich was very important to me. I've called other schools and felt very pressured with their salesmen. This is definately a people's school !
