Experiencia negativa: Will not be scheduling with this drivers school The first drives was good then the driving instructor stop working. My daughter last drive was with a very unprofessional and mean instructor who didn’t wear a his company badagw or neither did he get out the car to shake my hand. My daughter said he was impatient with her and got aggravated when she didn’t get it right or do what he said. She never wants to back to this school!! We are now with a different school and it totally different best experience so far is with Marietta/Cobb driving school . Parents make sure your instructor treats your kiddos with patience and respect. They deserve to be treated nicely they all are new at driver so be nice Act 1 and really check out your instructors.. maybe ask for the kids tondo a survey of their instructor that way you can know what’s happening behind the wheel when they are alone with these instructors.

Experiencia negativa: My son completed his online course 15 days ago. He has emailed the COO multiple times over the past week in order to get his certificate before his driver's test. His driver's test is this afternoon, and I finally called the corporate office and the student hotline. No one picked up the hotline, and the corporate office lady said she would email their certificate person and that it could take up to 48 hours. I requested a way to expedite the certificate so that we did not lose the driver's test appointment which is only available 2 weeks out for appointments. She told me there was no one for her to call and no way to expedite. The COO emailed us back and said there was no way for him to expedite and he had asked for it multiple times over the past week. It feels like a complete failure of a simple business process to send a certificate and even expedite an emergency situation that they've caused. No help

Experiencia negativa: The lady who answer the phone (customer service) is very rude. She yelled at me and she talked down to me. I know people need to be patient with me because English is not my first language, but I have never felt offended by a customer service till I called that school to ask how should I proceed to book my appointment after pay. My experience waa horrible. The organization is also terrible. They cancel my classes becuse a book 4 hours thw same day, then my profesor got sick and I received and sms cancelation for my 8am classes at 2am wich I seen in the morning after being waiting for him. The next week when He reschedule me they told me that I just have booked 1 class instead of 2 and they could only offer me a class at 11 when I was always booking at 8 because I have to work and go to school. Jus like that, playing with me and my time, they made me miss todays at work and their customer service just yelled at me when I called to ask when my profesor is not coming and how it's posible I have just 1 class booked if I received and email confirmation for my 2 classes. I finally took the class because they refused to refund my money. It was frustrating, terrible. The worst experience ever.

She provided excellent written feedback and video suggestions after every lesson, and was always patient and knowledgeable during his on the road training. Experiencia fantástica: Janetta was my driving instructor and she was a wonderful teacher throughout. She was very patient, understood my fears and my basic knowledge before we started and she helped me build a strong foundation before getting on the road. Her positive reinforcement and suggestions helped me remember the rules while driving. After every session, she would provide a detailed feedback on areas of improvement and what was covered during the session. I would take her classes again in the future if I need to, I will definitely recommend her for anyone who needs driving lessons.

Experiencia positiva: I can say I had a fantastic experience with this driving school and its instructor. Jenetta is amazing! The lessons were structured, informative, and tailored to my learning pace. She was very patient, knowledgeable, and provided constructive feedback, boosting my confidence behind the wheel. With only 10 hour lessons with her, I was able to pass my road test. I highly recommend this instructor for anyone looking to learn to drive in a supportive and effective environment. On the other hand, the only negative thing I can say about the school is that if you have a medical emergency and you miss a driving lesson, you will need to keep in mind they will not take that into consideration and you will still have to pay a fee to reschedule. So, please do not get sick and avoid having an accident the same day of your driving lesson because they don’t care. Do not worry about showing them a doctor’s excuse notice because you will still have to pay to reschedule.

Experiencia positiva: I wish I could rate each driver separately because then I would give Janetta 5 stars.. She was the only instructor who made sure to go through all elements of driving. She also listened to my concerns and made sure to address them during the lesson.

Experiencia positiva: Yesterday I signed up for driving lessons for my child. I received an emailed contract which Ive signed but no calendar email yet to book the actual driving lessons. Its been 24 hours since I paid, however the refund policy says I need to cancel within 48 hours if Id like a refund. Today is Saturday and the google hours say they don't open again until Tuesday. No one is answering the phone since its after business hours. Hoping that I will get a booking email soon.

Experiencia negativa: I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD. I paid for a defensive driving class and never received the link to join the class the first time after going out of my way to free my time that day. after multiple attempts of reaching out to them DURING their work hours I received a call the next day. the lady apologize and asked me when they could reschedule it. they rescheduled me to sunday which is the only day i was free. they called back saying they couldn't accommodate so I specified wednesday, thursday after working out my busy schedule. Come to find out she scheduled me for tuesday wednesday and again i have wasted a bunch of my time because of their incompetence and now i have waste more time to open up my schedule to accommodate for their incompetence. If i were you I wouldn't waste my time or money here.

Experiencia negativa: 1st lesson: cancelled by instructor 2nd lesson: instructor was one hour late. When inquiring the school about the situation, the instructor was not happy that I contacted the school, and cancelled my scheduled lessons. I have not received the 1 hour back as credit. 3rd lesson: cancelled by instructor. Now I'm trying to use up my remaining hours, but there's only one instructor available, and his earliest availability is 3 weeks away. Will be calling for a refund or a charge back tomorrow. This is not an acceptable service for the price.

Experiencia negativa: Pay $280 for a 2-day session and the instructor cancelled when we show up. We called the instructor, David Karnell asking why we never get the notif, he said he doesn’t know. Bad customer service, the location is never opened, and we demand a refund but nobody is answering.

Experiencia positiva: Update: Mike Markos from A1 Driving schools reached out to me and helped me schedule a driving lesson and my driving test. Also, I’d like to give a shout-out to David Carnow. He’s a great instructor and helped answer all my questions. He’s knowledgeable and has tons of experience. I stand by my initial thoughts on their customer support helpline: ——————————— Please stay away from this place. Purchased a 2-hour driving lesson and a driving test with A1 Roswell. You’ll have a hard time finding available dates and if you do, the instructor will end up cancelling it anyway. I’ve tried scheduling a session 6 times and they cancelled it every single time. Moreover, you’ll never be able to get in touch with someone if you call them. Their location in Roswell is never open as well. You’d be better off donating your money to a charity organization. At least you’ll earn good karma. Tldr: Take your business elsewhere. You’ll never be able to schedule a session or get your money back.

Experiencia negativa: I purchased ten hours of driving classes and the first time they had to cancel because of a covid exposure and this time nobody showed up and I've spent 20 minutes trying to get in touch with them for an update and nobody answers the phone.

Experiencia negativa: My son was signed up for two weekends of Joshua’s Law classes at this location. The day of the class came and he still had not received a link to sign in to the online class. When I spoke to the rude woman at this location she told me that the class was cancelled because not enough people signed up and he would have to reschedule. My son took these two weekends off of work in order to do the class and he paid over $500 of his own money. When I asked if we could be refunded since our contract was for these dates I was simply told “no”. When I asked why we hadn’t been told about the cancellation, I got a response of “I don’t know”. Not even a lousy apology. I don’t recommend anyone make the same mistake we did by signing up with this location.

Experiencia negativa: Showed up for class and place was closed. When I called they said I would have to take class online. I took online class but scheduling driving sessions is impossible. They give you access to website to book time but there are no available times. No times, any day any month. No one answers the phone or email. To add insult to injury they charged us higher than advertised on the website. Stay away from this place.

Experiencia fantástica: I was very nervous about this defensive driving class at first because I just did not know how it would go. I signed up for the class because my mom is so nervous about the types of drivers I may face in Atlanta. My instructor Rhonda was absolutely amazing and super informative. She told the class everything there was to know, big or small. I was in a class that raged in age and she made sure everyone was on the same page and she made the time go by painlessly. I seriously feel way more comfortable on the road as a new driver.

Experiencia fantástica: I wish I had dealt with this this location or the Roswell one sooner. I had a rocky start from the beginning because my first instructor did not show up for my second driving lesson and when I called to explain I was told I was lying and she reported that I did not show up. I called her many times and her phone was out of service, even the day I called to complain her phone was still out of service but yet was told it was my fault and I had to pay to recover my hours. Honestly I did not want to continue doing business with you guys after dealing with Ms Rhonda (instructor) and Ms Carrie with her really weird customer service skills. BUT my aunt decided to call and then they gave me my hours back... THEN I had an amazing instructor Mr Howard Minsk!!! God bless him!! only did two lessons of 2 hours, and I passed my driving test with a 92!!! Also the ladies at the Sandy Spring Location, Ms Elle, and the one at the Roswell location (forgot her name)... Thank you both for making me believe in great customer service!!! I will definitely recommend both location to my friends <3

The class even counted toward an extra discount on my insurance, which will easily pay for the class (and then some) for the next 3 years. Even though its 6 hours, it was an cheap Price to pay considering the amount I will be saving in the long run for my insurance. I would recommend this to anyone looking at improving their driving skills, driving knowledge on the road, or looking to reduce their insurance costs.

I got so much useful information! He was down to earth, made the material enjoyable, and the time flew by. My 6hr class was small {only 6 others} but we all worked together well. I'm so glad I didn't choose any other location.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a court ordered 6- hour defensive driving lesson at 10 am on a Sunday morning. I had very little sleep the night before, and I walked in the doors very irritable and unhappy to be there. By the time I left not only was I glad to have gone, but I would have no problem going again. The instructor I had was very interesting, knowledgeable, and insightful. His name was Ron G. and I can't remember his last name. He made the 6-hours fly by quickly and he taught me lots about driving and even some about life. He treated all of us like respectable people, and in the 6 hours a couple of us had formed genuine connections with the man. Aside from the instructor, the whole process was quick and painless, from signing up to finding the location to the course itself, it was the least stressful part of all of my court mandated assignments, and I am thankful I decided to choose A-1.

Experiencia positiva: UPDATE: Soon after I posted this review I received a call from Mike (an owner of the business I think) and he was very apologetic and very eager to set things right as much as possible. I absolutely appreciate his effort, and while we couldn't get everything to line up like it was originally supposed to I think it will be good enough in the end. Based on all the other good reviews of this company, I assume most people have not had the same experience that we have. Just bad luck for us regarding scheduling I guess. I have had nothing but problems trying to get driving lessons scheduled for my 15 year old. And now (4 days before his week of class) I am told that they are cancelling his session due to low enrollment. But I could drive him to the John's Creek location (30 minutes away) and go to that one. Every piece of this has been a hassle. He did like the one road instructor that he had a chance to drive with. His 3rd session with that instructor was also cancelled. Scheduling is virtually impossible on the website. They do not seem to have enough driving instructors.. Pretty unhappy with the whole experience.

This school offers a variety of courses including state certified defensive driving, risk reduction and drivers education courses. They also offer clinical evaluations ,ASAM and victim impact sessions. The staff has always been knowledgeable and friendly. I recommend this school to antone who has a need or just wants a refresher on road rules.
