The pricing is competitive, making it a good value for the service provided. I strongly recommend taking the test in the school’s car, even though it costs a bit more than a regular class. It improves the kids' confidence. Raymond, our instructor, is very patient with kids and always arrived on time. We chose the Santa Clara DMV for convenience, but Raymond is well-acquainted with all the other Bay Area locations. He tailors the lessons to the specific test location, thoroughly preparing the kids by familiarizing them with the local streets. Overall, our experience with Success Driving School was excellent.

The instructors are very attentive and responsible. After four hours with Instructor Mathew, my child was able to drive on the road. Experiencia negativa: One of their instructors made me feel extremely discouraged so much that I quit. They don’t make you feel comfortable enough when they put you on the wheel. When you make more mistakes they get disgusted and lash out. It was my first driving experience and even now I still couldn’t forget the verbal abuse/harsh criticisms that I’ve suffered. Maybe other people got lucky with their instructors and successfully passed. But for me I just stop believing.

He definitely will make you very nervous during the course, but it did help because you will not be nervous in the real driving test. You don’t know you will do so many wrong way in the driving. Experiencia fantástica: HIGHLY RECOMMEND RAYMOND--DETAILED, HONEST, RECEPTIVE TO FEEDBACK.PASSED WITH A 97% 1ST TRY. 1) I had two 2-hour lessons with Raymond and he was very detailed and tailored his lesson to fit my needs. The previous instructors I had sat me through tedious driving theory for at least 30 minutes which had nothing to do with the practical part of driving. I passed my theory test with an 87.5% so there is no need for the theory unless it directly applies to the practical test. This got so bad that I had to tell Success Driving school not to teach theory, and Raymond listened and understood this perfectly. 2) He taught me theory only to reinforce the practical elements, like pulling over to the curb, turning right within 200 ft and going on the bike lane, staying within your lane while turning left, etc. in fact, I reviewed his drawings many days up to the test which helped me pass with a 97%. Everything that we practiced in a 4 hour session helped me ace the test, and the errors I got were well deserved with going 3 mph above the speed limit while changing lane, something Raymond talked about, and not looking at my blind spot at 1 intersection. 3) Raymond even went over our lesson time from 5:15-7:40pm and I can tell he cares deeply about each of his students. It wasn't about trying to get his "job" over with and be calculators about how he spent his time, he truly loves and cares that each of us passed and always stayed over time to make sure I knew the concepts and understood what he was teaching, especially two days before my driving test. I am so lucky and grateful to have Raymond as my driving teacher and book him for another lesson as it solidified my confidence in driving. 4) Overall, Raymond is an excellent driving teacher with a warm, funny, honest, and open personality and a flexible teaching style tailored to your needs. I highly recommend Raymond to be your driving teacher!

All thanks to my driving instructor, Ken Wong from Success Driving School! He's really knowledgeable, experienced, patient and supportive ever since I started driving lessons with him! Ken can speak both of Chinese and English. Highly recommended! I am a Chinese lady at old age and had 0 basic experience on driving. I still remember how scared and nervous I was on my first few lessons. Ken Wong was very patient, calm, and kind in providing the driving tips and correcting my mistakes. He was extremely knowledgeable yet very approachable whenever I had any question even if it was a repeated question. I always enjoyed our conversations and I learned so much from him. He was very supportive in our classes and gave me confidence. My first experience on the freeway was with him, which was very helpful for me! I am so grateful for the Success Driving School's service. They are very efficient and flexible to organize and adjust the appointment time according to my preference. Much appreciated!

Experiencia negativa: The car was in a dilapidated condition. The instructor (Ken Wong, same as mentioned in some other poor reviews) was subpar and was talking so much while the candidate was driving that it was confusing the candidate whether the instructor was talking to himself, speaking generally, or telling the driver to do something specific. Also at a couple points, he gave wrong instructions. Started late because the car seat could not be adjusted properly and then ended the lesson earlier. The instructor's accent and way of talking was also ineligible. You get what you pay for. They are probably the cheapest but now I know why!

Experiencia negativa: Really bad experience. It was a complete waste of money. We paid $120 cash for a two hour lesson. The instructor (Ken Wong) took a 10min break in between and finished the lesson 10min early. The instructor was controlling the brakes and accelerator throughout even though we requested an advanced lesson not a complete beginner. The instructor could hardly speak English. I would strongly recommend against using this school.

Experiencia negativa: 我2月26日跟成功驾校唯一一名会说国语的女教练Cindy学习两小时驾驶。整个过程态度及其恶劣，只带我开了一遍DMV周边的线路，重难点、考试流程完全不讲，开车问题完全不纠正，整个过程只有我问到问题时才说话。（实际上完全不需要一遍遍练习线路，重要的是掌握考试线路中的考点和注意事项就行，路线可以千变万化、各种组合，但考点不会变。） 待我第一次去实际路考时，我进DMV考场都不知道该干啥，结果直接fail。 两小时涨价到120刀，连课程时间都没有上满就着急下课，最后也没有把我送到家，我是自己坐公交花了一个多小时回家的。 于是我打电话投诉，客服态度很好，说Cindy在学校十几年了，“态度这么差的教练竟然能在学校待十几年，还是唯一会说国语的教练”，我深刻怀疑成功驾校如何称得上是“湾区口碑最好的华人驾校”，就是这样服务我们华人的吗？？！！ 这位教练不仅教学效果差，学校收费高的无理，且耽误我的考试时间和浪费我的考试机会，甚至学校老板表示“因为我实际还是上了这门课，所以不能对我有任何的refund和补偿”。（值得一提的是，学校客服服务很好！沟通顺畅！） 对于未来想跟教练练习考试技巧的朋友们，我建议完全没必要找成功驾校，湾区有很多私下接单的教练师傅，态度好、技术好、讲解效率高（后来找我朋友推荐了好几个），甚至小红书上也可以私信到好多个体教练。 希望大家吸取的经验教训，不要再花钱买气受！

Experiencia fantástica: Extremely happy and satisfied with Success Driving School. Both my daughter and my son learned driving with instructor Ken Wong and they passed easily on their first attempt. My teenagers highly appraised Ken for 1) being polite and on-time, 2) very experienced and knowledgeable, 3) being patient and efficient when teaching, 4) being so friendly and easy-going, 5) following up with parents to provide the driving lesson's summary and encouraging my kids to practice more. Overall, it is very easy to book lessons with Success and they also send text messages for schedules' reminders. My youngest son just passed the permit test earlier today. I definitely will schedule driving lessons for him with Success.

Experiencia fantástica: I was experienced, and after requesting we skipped over less important talking points to driving and pointing out things to watch for. The instructor is friendly but very meticulous and importantly practised the important parts. I managed to pass the first time.

Experiencia negativa: I'd give minus -5 if I could. Very impatient instructor that makes his student super stressed and as if they're the worst driver. The instructor also has a heavy accent but keeps talking in low volume the whole lesson, making it difficult to listen to him and concentrate at the same time.

Experiencia negativa: Phuong wasted 40 mins for the first appointment going over theory. In the third appointment after my wife had enough practice on stops and turns and asked explicitly for Lane change training Phuong only did 3 lane changes in 2 hours. Clearly she is not motivated to make you learn faster and optimize for more and more classes. Stay away from them.

Experiencia fantástica: This is rewiew for my last (third) driving instructor Raymond. I am first time driver and felled two attempts to get driving license in Santa Clara DMV. Then I switched the driving school's and chose Raymond as a my third instructor after reading great reviews about him. Yes, it's true, Raymond talks a lot and that worked very well for me. Because on my test today I heard his voice in my head, ...absolute zerro when you stop,...scan,..crawl,..lineing change,.etc. I passed with 5 minor errors. His technic, expierience and verbal guidance and drawn visuals worked for me very well. He is very patient and polite instructor, I should absolutely recommend Raymond to anyone who is willing to not only pass but really learn essential of driving. I am based in Sunnyvale and Raymond was always , punctual, ajusting times for you and most important he cares and actually wants you to pass. Thank you Raymond, for your patience . Marita

He also taught me a lot of tips and tricks on how to maneuver the car effortlessly. I would highly recommend this school (and Ken) to everyone who is looking for driving classes. The only downside is that Ken has a strong Cantonese accent, so if you are a Mandarin or English only speaker, it takes some getting used to.

Experiencia positiva: Based on all the negative reviews online, I was rather nervous for my first lesson. I have to admit that to individuals who aren't proficient in Mandarin will definitely have a hard time understanding instructors. However, if you are bilingual, then there's not much to worry about. My teacher, Frank, was an enthusiastic older man who taught quite well and helped me get the hang of driving much faster than I expected. I would highly recommend to anyone who is decent at speaking and understanding Chinese.

Experiencia fantástica: combine the adventurous spirit of a little kid playing with toy cars and the traffic-rule expertise of a DMV-demigod with an excellence at conveying both the attitude and skill to the student. There are many fun and specific examples I could mention that demonstrate this, but I suppose you'll have to be curious and find out for yourself. (Oh, and I passed this time around. Muahaha!)

Experiencia fantástica: very patient, but he is also persistent at helping you get things right. He's not annoyed when you make a mistake, but he helps you feel annoyed by your own mistakes such that you avoid them. E.g. even after he told me to keep checking all the directions when approaching intersections, I kept passing intersections without looking; and he would make "ERRRRR" (a red-error-button-noise-ish-sound) when I did that. It's not annoying, but it reminds you to perform better and notice your mistakes. He taps into the video-game spirit of an intense, burning desire to complete a level perfectly.

Experiencia fantástica: I had 3 instructors and all of them were very nice and helpful. I had 3 sessions with them and passes the driving test at my 2nd try. Mr Huang is funny and can always explain thing to me clearly, I got the feeling that the small tricks that he taught me would help me avoid many dangerous situations. My other instructor Eric is very nice and experienced, he's also very experienced. When I made mistakes, he would correct me gently, which made me feel much less nervous and learn from that mistake.

Experiencia fantástica: I was one of them who thought driving classes aren't really useful if someone else can teach. These guys are really good at what they do. They make sure they communicate all rules, check your errors and correct you. They also give a thorough practice near the DMV so that you are fully prepared. I had limited prior driving experience outside the US. I took an evaluatory lesson a week before the test when I was recommended two more classes - which really helped me to pass my test in 1 go. Shout out to Raymond, Ken and Frank who were my instructors. Thank You!
