Experiencia negativa: Don’t do it. Very poorly run. Very frustrating for parent and student. Website was the worst, information was confusing, driving times for students non existent. We quit, lost money, and picked a different driving school.

Experiencia negativa: 0 Stars. My experience with this driving school has been profoundly disappointing. The star rating system fails to capture the extent of my dissatisfaction, as I would give zero stars if allowed. Scheduling a drive time here is an ordeal. The process lacks efficiency, often leaving students in a state of uncertainty and frustration. My interactions with the office staff have consistently been negative. Their demeanor can only be described as unprofessional and discourteous, making what should be straightforward communication unnecessarily challenging. Regarding the driving instructor, Kevin, his behavior was particularly egregious. His conduct was not only unhelpful but also bordered on abusive. His lack of professionalism is a significant deterrent for anyone considering this school. I strongly recommend avoiding this institution for your driving education needs. The combination of poor scheduling, rude staff, and an instructor like Kevin makes for an experience that detracts from the learning process rather than enhancing it.

Experiencia negativa: I've never left a review on Google ever but this place is SO HORRIBLE I feel the need to warn others! My daughter took the virtual class in JULY, AND BC THEY HAVE ZERO TIMES AVAILABLE TO SCHEDULE DRIVES SHE ONLY JUST finished last night (mid October)!!! And they STILL DIDN'T HAND HER A PERMIT! They said she now has to go to the DMV to get the permit??? My two older daughters went to two different places and had their permits handed to them AT THE SCHOOL! This place is a scam and a HUGE WASTE OF TIME!!! Go to Jungle or Mosleys, the kids were done and driving in less than 3 weeks.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely love these guys. My daughter did the zoom classes, we had so much trouble with our internet and The Official Driving School was so kind and friendly about it each time. Also, my daughter loved her in car teacher. Would definitely recommend.

Experiencia negativa: I've had a terrible experience trying to get drive times scheduled. They don't tell you when drives are posted. They tell you to "check multiple times per day" - as if a busy working parent has time for that! To make matters worse, I had 2 drives times canceled WITHOUT notification. I showed up with my son only for the instructor to say he wasn't on the schedule. When I called customer service they told me that it was canceled because my son had 3 drives completed (out of 6) and other students had less and had priority. But I did not receive any cancelation notice.

Experiencia negativa: Signing up and the virtual class option was easy and convenient. Scheduling drives has been a huge pain. If you’re not looking to make a part time job out of stalking the website looking for drives, I would recommended going somewhere else. They keep saying they’ll be adding more soon, but it’s been week of checking multiple times a day with no luck. Don’t even bother Calling customer service, they’re only help was well be adding more, keep checking the website daily.

Experiencia negativa: UPDATE: Available drives opened up on the website and I grabbed them like concert tickets! Be aware this may be an issue during this labor crisis. Upgrading from 1-star to 2-star. 1 WEEK UPDATE: STILL NO RESPONSE FROM COMPANY (only a Google Review response to appear like they value their customers) and STILL NO DRIVES AVAILABLE TO COMPLETE SEGMENT 1! Only thing they are good at is marketing and taking your money. Class instructors are not prepared, in-car instructor scrolled Instagram, and GOOD LUCK scheduling drives. They clearly don't have enough instructors for all the students they accept for online classes. When emailed, they said that each instructor posts their availability randomly, so there is no consistency. You have to check every morning and try to get a drive when an instructor decides to post their availability. Go somewhere else.

Experiencia fantástica: Official is the best place for drivers training! All three of our kiddos went here and our last one just finished! Mr. Kevin Billings is hands down the best teacher! We have had him for class time and drives. He is direct, honest, encouraging, intelligent and patient! He is a blessing to those kiddos! Thank you Mr. Billings for your dedication to keeping our teens safe on the roads! Appreciate you! More adults need a good refresher course from him! ;)

Experiencia fantástica: Once we figured out the portal, the process worked well. My son said that the driving instructors were really helpful and taught him a lot. They worked to make the drives good experiences for him too. We had good communication with Mr. Woodbeck and Mr. Billings.

Experiencia fantástica: Mr. Billings is a caring and dedicated instructor. He is intentional to be sure students are ready to drive. My girls took drivers Ed with Mr Billings, and my son also will in a couple months. When my daughter had a car pull out in front of her (and air bags went off and car started on fire), she said she remembered (years later) what Mr Billings said- what to do in those split seconds. Thank you Mr Billings!

Experiencia negativa: Education seems good. Instructors cared for students. However, the business systems parents need to work through to get everything pulled together for the drives and certification to print off is extra taxing compared to other companies in the area we used before. Online classes is what had us come here. Would not recommend if you don’t like extra steps to set up drives or get certification course is completed.

Experiencia negativa: I'd rate it ZERO if I could. They started new students in on the road training prior to allowing current students access required drives.. Drives/observations weren't documented by instructors, delaying completion. No follow through on phone calls. AWEFUL!

Experiencia fantástica: Payton H. Driving instructor Mr. V Drove most all drives with Mr. V and teacher was Mr. Billings. Never felt uncomfortable driving and constantly got pointers with my driving. I was able to feel confident behind the wheel and say what I wanted to say freely. Was given excellent instructions and was taught better then I think I would’ve been anywhere else. Mr. billings made sure everyone was included and that we all learned what was necessary along with great tips for when your put on the road!

Experiencia fantástica: Ms. Shonett was my driving instructor for most of my drives and she was incredibly helpful as she was clear and thorough with her instructions, she was very patient and helped clear up any confusion or questions I had with driving. 5/5, amazing driving instructor.

Experiencia fantástica: All the instructors are really nice and fun. I had Mr. Woodbeck for all of my drives. He's great, really fun, very talkative, and funny. He also tells you things in the simplest terms to help you understand it better. (He also lets you have music on during all your drives - at least he let me.)

Experiencia negativa: The classes start with verifying birth certificates. After the first class they want you to start scheduling your drive times. We schedule all 6 of ours only to have them cancel and reschedule 9 times. On day one we told them we could not make it to the last class day so they rescheduled us for about a month later. We show up today to take the test and he gets sent home because they need to see his birth certificate again. Nowhere did it say we needed to bring it back with us. This school is a waste of our time

Experiencia positiva: ODS our Son had to take his segment one and two online through zoom which was okay but should had been in person instead. When it came to the road test the instructor who he had the entire time pretty much gave up on him and another student with him just passed our son without really teaching him how to parallel park more then 10 minutes. Would had been nice if she would had taught him more then 10 minutes of parking. No parent should have to teach their teen to park when an instructor should be instead knowing they know how to show the teen driver how to exactly do it. Wish ODS would have their final road test here in Grand Rapids and not only on the other side of the State. CS is hard to get hold of many times calling figured out best time to call is the second they open.

He helped me become a better driver and build up my confidence. When I went on the highway for the first time I wasn’t nervous because I knew he would be able to help me if I needed it. He is incredibly funny and I loved doing my drives with him. He is a truly incredible instructor and I would highly recommend to do drives with him.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely wonderful!!!!!!! Shonett Davis is absolutely amazing and extremely helpful. I honestly couldn’t ask for anything better. She loves what she does and is there for the kids by encouraging and being helpful.

She took time to answer all of my questions and helped us navigate the course and requirements. Shonett also helped us figure out scheduling with our very busy 15 yr. old. She and other staff were timely in their responses and willing to assist whenever needed. My son also enjoyed his drives with Shonett and we both are confident in his ability to continue his practice with us.

Son was unable to log into online classes for first day of training, attempted to call to find out why (No local number have to call Detroit area) was on hold for over an hour and a half and hung up on four times only to be told that class was cancelled at the last minute. Are you kidding me right now ? Terrible way to run any business that alone a driving school ......Buyer beware !!!

Gary Strong was a wonderfully patient and good driving instructor. As a mother dealing with the stress of a teenager going through Segment 1 ODS both Andrew Cox and Gary Strong plus staff made our experience so wonderful!

Experiencia negativa: I am still waiting on my certificate and it has been many months. Customer service is nonexistent and I need this thing by tomorrow. Incredibly disappointed

Experiencia negativa: Literally horrible honestly. Truly a waste of money. The instructors are ok but most of the time they aren't even paying attention in class or in the car they stay on their phones texting. And the COMMUNICATION wow it's nonexistent I didn't receive emails or texts about where our driving location was and when we tried to call nobody answered and when they did they told me my session was canceled when it wasn't. Also my certificate still hasn't came from segment 1 its been 3 weeks and one of my friends it took hers about 2 weeks to come. Even though the site says it will take 3-5 business days which isn't accurate at all!. You email and call within business hours and get no response and when you do get one they are rude or they transfer you to other people who have no clue what's going on either. My certificate finally came the same day I had to get my parents involved which tells me they probably had my stuff sitting there but just didn't want to send it out.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible customer service! Nonexistent customer service! When you call the number if someone answers they transfer you somewhere where noone answers ever. You leave a voicemail and noone calls you back. No drive times available to schedule before your scheduled test. Poor that it can not be worse. I would give it zero stars if I could. Experiencia negativa: I would not recommend this driving school at all. Very poor communication, my son took the training months ago, still trying to communicate with individuals to finish up. Their stated requirements keep changing, adding required time on..... Someone was going to look into things, never got back with me, then I was told that she was too busy, because she is “working on payroll”.

Experiencia negativa: this place is horrible! Do NOT take drivers training here ever. The instructors are very unprofessional, and we had ZERO say in our driving times. Our driving times were also changed on us very randomly. We have 3 other children that have taken it at different schools, and NEVER had the issues we've had here. The check in time wait was an hour and 40 minutes long, and when the instructor decided to finally look up from his phone, he handed them homework and told them goodbye. My son did not receive his certificate for more than a week after he completed his training, and no one had any explanation for this. I called the supervisor to complain about the awful experience and we were refunded a measly $20 out of the $350 one pays to take a class with clowns teaching.

Experiencia negativa: Teacher is great. Very knowledgeable. My son's driving instructor is very unprofessional. A schedule is set and he continuously changes it without warning and tried to charge a $15 no show when he wasn't scheduled to drive. We showed up when we were supposed to and his instructor didn't show. He's text my son telling him to be at Sears at a certain time, which isn't the time he originally stated, and when questioned, I was told to be there or I'll get charged a no show fee. This is so ridiculous!
