Reasons I recommend this school 1) My teacher was great.. 1on1 training when needed however the course is mostly self paced. 2) They have 2 classes a day to choose from which worked for my schedule. 3) The Truck yard is big enough to get a semi up to 35MPH for shifting & driving practice. (You will drive on the road closer to test time). 4) We were training in actual trucks from the beginning… several trucks available for students to practice skills. 5) The people & atmosphere are friendly & and relaxed… 6) The cost was about $1000 less then other schools in Portland IF YOU APPLY YOURSELF YOU WILL PASS YOUR CDL TEST ON THE FIRST TRY!…. 5 Stars ….. All trainers are nice and friendly then lower payment for the course and large yard but they don’t have good enough plans or training for students, too many students, confusing, you don’t know students or guests or strangers, everyone wants to jump in the truck and waiting for hours to get behind the wheel. And some days you don’t even touch the truck and going home. I don’t even have chance one on one the trainer go over inspection with me and 3 times only on the road. They trained you just to pass the CDL. No driver log book!! no rules or regulations of yard and senior students are bosses!! I had big concerns with safety. Sometimes you going to see students are arguing or fighting for truck. Anyway I appreciated all trainers and I got my CDL through with them. If these are getting better in 2023, it’ll be great school!!!

I received my CLP in January 2022 and after that visited one of the other school near Portland in the month of April 2022 and found that they were just wasting student's time by giving months long date and then no self practice. The instructors there were rude and always yelling at you, therefore I quit after one week. Then, after a lots of research, I went to I&H and found that everyone was very friendly and works with you on your weakness with plenty of hands-on driving practise. Sabba, Ibrahim, Hala & Abdul are very knowledgeful and always ready to help you. They are masters in their specific fields. For me, just 2 weeks of training with them and third week I gave my skills test and vollah!!!! cleared the skills test in first attempt and got my CDL. The training is highly individualized and the school is very flexible with each students own schedule. You can earn your CDL quickly or slowly depending on your own needs. GT I have an update since getting my CDL I have been working steadily. Drove team for 2 years going from Vancouver WA to Commerce City in LA. I have a solo line now from Vancouver to Reno NV. So glad I chose I & H for training !!

Experiencia negativa: My experience was not good when I went to location in north Portland I was greeted by a instructor who went through the pretrip on the truck then I was asked if I knew how to drive manual I said yes the instructor told me to practice my backing up so I did shortly after I watched my instructor leave the property and I stayed for 5 hours by myself be careful of short cuts and not fully investigating the school !

The one on one attention will make you confident and comfortable getting behind the wheel of these big trucks,. They teach you at a pace that works for you, while learning the skills it takes to be safe and get hired. You will not regret you decision to attend this school.

Experiencia fantástica: I&H Truck charged me $3500 in April 2022 for Automatic (a bit more for Manual). They have 2 Manual and 3 Automatic trucks. During my time there, the student to #of trucks ratio was about 2.5, so I got plenty of hands-on driving practice. The school yard is huge, paved, leveled, clean and very well maintained. I signed up for the morning shift (7-2), but was able to stay til 3 or 4 when trucks were available for driving, for doing Pre-Trip, In-cab Inspection & Air Break checks. Should you fail your exam, you can come back for as much practice as you need. There are many CDL trucking schools in the Portland, OR area but none is as affordable and flexible as I&H. Do your own research, visit the school yard, and talk to current students. You will find (as I did) that I&H Trucking is hard to beat.

They gave me the information needed to Learn my entire pre-trip, become confident on my 3 parking maneuvers and finally prepared for my on the road test. Many schools would NOT get me in till February or march, while this school got me in the same day in November. They allowed me to practice 7 days a week. Keep open communication and concerns and they were always able to answer every question and concern.

From the very best customer care, to flexible schedules that do not affect trainees' other businesses, to fully commitment of CDL test success from the trainers, one cannot explain how this training school is unless you decide to attend and be your own witness. Mr AbdulSaboor is and gentleman and a half when it comes to making sure all training materials are fully understood by every trainee. Mr Ibrahim is just not a trainer, but a father to every student. The school has enough trucks for practical training. If more than 5 stars existed I would not think twice. Now a CDL holder.

The Schedule was open, anytime i could make it worked, if you have your permit already, go to this school! It's all seat time in a truck ! ....

Experiencia fantástica: It was the end of January 2021, I got to know this school (I&H Training) while I was searching and calling several schools. Other schools said the earliest I could enroll is in March, and tuition fees averaged over $5,000. This school (I&H) not only accepted me right away but the tuition was less than half of other schools. The owner Ibrahim is a very nice person and created a family atmosphere. He did not spare any assistance and advice so that I could master everything in a short time. I failed on my first skills test due to the examiner at HST Oregon's ignorance (it is another story I will write for HST Oregon), but Ibrahim helped and rescheduled promptly to take the retest right away. I passed my CDL “A” on March 4, 2021. If I had done it at another school, not only the tuition is more than double, I couldn’t even start by this time. I highly recommend I&H to all who want to become a professional driver.

Great value for the price (half of what other schools charge) and the best part is that you can practice as long as it takes on your own schedule - 7 days a week, 9a-7p. Here is why this school is the best: Even if you don’t pass the first time (a rare occurrence) you can come back and continue to train free of additional charges. At the larger, corporate owned schools (looking at you Western Pacific), if you don’t pass the first time they drop you off at the curb and you are on your own with no way to continue practicing for your next makeup exam. HUGE especially considering it is HALF the cost of those schools. (Note: you do have to pay the testing center $180 fee, but the school charges nothing additional). They can also help you find professional opportunities after you graduate and introduce you to a large network of trucking pros. 10/10 recommend!

I came into the school not knowing how to double clutch or back a semi trailer, and graduated in two weeks with 7 days commitment every week. He’ll allow you to drive and maneuver the trucks 7 days a week 9am-5pm. Again, I highly recommend Abrahim and his school.
