Experiencia negativa: Front office is horrible. Plain out horrible. Their costumer service needs work they are rude and if your a minor they take advantage of it. They don't respect any child treating them poorly and disrespecting. They also like to fail your drivers exam, so if you're considering taking the test with them reconsider!!! Only good thing from them would be instructor Mr. Gonzalez.

Experiencia negativa: if i could give them zero stars i would. this is the worst driving school in brownsville tx please do not take your kids here or even yourself save yourself the 400$ and take these classes somewhere else. everyone here should be fired the staff treats everyone without respect they’re rude. the teachers are rude and don’t have patience with students. if they’re tired of their job why not just reschedule the students drivers test rather than failing them as soon as they get into the car. shame on them this place should close down for good.

Experiencia negativa: SCAM LIKELY! Front desk booked us for later the same day and just watched us sit in the office for several hours without providing any additional info. They also failed to mention we could test cars to get a feel for them until AFTER the test was complete. Front desk should be able to provide all relevant information to their customers. Currently, they just push papers for the boss at minimum wage. This company will take your money and then request you come back and pay again later! Avoid at all costs.

His thoughtful directions have helped me to learn driving so fast. Do not forget to sign up for Mr. Gonzales as your driving instructor. Only he is real!!!

Experiencia fantástica: My dad signed me up for this driving school without warning, kinda scared at fist but then I started to really like the school, Mr. Gonzalez was my class instructor and my driving instructor for the 2nd half of my driving hours. Really great guy and I recommended your school to my friends.

Mr. Gonzalez was my instructor, and he was extremely through in his teaching and in letting us know about the nature of driving on the streets. Everything about Benavides is amazing, except for the secretaries up front. One of them is pretty rude and very much a smart Alec when it come to anything. She gives off very bad energy, and one time she told me to watch with a look that said “Watch this,” as she got after a student. There was a time where I needed to be at the school at a certain time, but there was a long line of people ahead of me, so when I finally got to her, she told me I had to wait another hour because I was late when she was the one who had kept me in the line so long. The other secretary sees all this and doesn’t say a thing. I’ve never seen her lift a finger to even answer the phone without having to ask someone else what she was supposed to do. All in all, Benavides is a good school with not so good secretaries ‍♀️

Experiencia fantástica: When I found out I had to take the written and driving tests again in order to get my drivers license again I panicked, but then I remembered how confident I felt after taking the young driver education class at Benavides. I decided I would go that route and take the adult drivers education class and test for both written and driving with them. I can say it was great to have a refresher course and I felt comfortable taking my driving test with Benavides instead of DPS because of my terrible test anxiety. Definitely recommend them to anyone who has to take any driving course or any type of court assigned class they offer!

Experiencia negativa: Very poor customer service ! They offer the driving test but once you go they give you a huge hassle on documents that really are not required. The lady that’s at the window is very rude and at the end she told us to go to the DPS office. If she would’ve told us this since the beginning then we wouldn’t have even bothered and enquired about it. They shouldn’t advertise services that they can’t fulfill. We enquired at Salazar Driving School and they were very courteous and assisted us in what we needed because right now trying to go to the dps office is a mess. We just wanted our newly 18 yr old to get his license. Go to Salazar driving school instead because you will get nowhere at benavides. Very dissapointed !!

They do a good job at having a variety of lecture, videos, examples, and activities. They do a really good job at preparing you for the exam and making sure you succeed. Overall, it was a good experience and I’m glad I chose Benavides!

Mr. Gonzalez is a patient, firm instructor who explained the key driving concepts fully and taught me how to become a more confident driver. He is a wonderful professional who cares about you and developing your driving skills. I appreciated the many drills and repetitions behind the wheel so that I knew what to expect on the road. I appreciate the help and kind support of the staff at Benavides. Thank you for helping me pass my driving test!

They made me wake up early for nothing because I wasn't on their list to drive and get this damn test over with also I'd advise to just wait until your child is 18 to go and take the test. Taking them earlier is just a waste of time and money.

If you give your possible client bad customer service on the first initial call, what more can I think about your business? Fist impression always speaks for it all!!!! Remember that! Definitely not sending my son here, glad there are others to pick and choose from.And I will rate 1 star only because I have to in order to post this review.

Experiencia negativa: I cannot stress how awful this school is. Literally the instructor said it was illegal to drive without the proper accelerator and brake pedal rubber grips. To my surprise that's exactly what one of their cars was missing, which made the pedals super slippery when it rained. Not only that, but they also failed to fix my test grades TWICE. If it weren't because I complained a third time they wouldn't of fixed their mistake which could of increased my insurance since a high A equals a lower insurance policy. But the thing that annoyed me the most was that in the end they are supposed to give you two papers one which has your test scores for the insurance company and the second one which you take to DPS to take your driving exam. (Thet never told me that I had to get two papers from them. Was this a scam they played on me and others who knows.) Well well well, guess which one they forgot to give me, yup the one for the DPS, and the office lady still had the nerve to say that she gave it to me when not once did I receive it from her. I don't have alzheimer and I get good grades which implies I have a good memory. Luckily for me my parents could afford the lost paperwork penalty at that time. But that's no good excuse for a company to over charge you for something that was their mistake. Take your kids else where, or go ahead and try your luck.
