There are so many driving schools in NY but I am really happy that I chose Hawaii driving school. Carlos is a wonderful instructor! Every time I called or texted I would never get a response back. Waist of time and money. Invest somewhere else.

It doesn't matter if you have zero experience, by the time you're finished with his lessons, you will know how to drive. When I first approach Carlos for driving lessons, I didn’t know how many I should take but thankfully I’ve decided to go with the 10 classes, which included the scheduling of the road test and car provided for the test. It was a very reasonable price for the quality lessons and the convenience that he provided, which included pick-up and drop-off at my house and he even the dropped me off at the 5 hours video mandatory course. Carlos was very nice and patient as a teacher. He was very easy to schedule with and punctual for each lessons. Carlos was not afraid to push me to learn fast about driving safely and to taught me to be a good and considerate driver. I would recommend him if you want to properly learn how to drive and pass the road test with ease.

I have recommended tons of friends to him and they all come back to me to say he was the best teacher they ever had. We did a lesson where we drove from Jackson heights to stony brook university and back. He taught me enough to make me comfortable to drive on the LIE after a few lessons. And i passed the test on my first try with only a few points.

He shows you techniques that are easy to remember and believe me, they help during a tense test session. Carlos picks you up and drops you off. I have a very busy work schedule yet he accommodated me in early morning slots whenever possible and reduced hassle on my part. I would definitely recommend Hawaii Driving School esp for people who aren't familiar with American roads. I had not driven for 6 years and it took me 3 lessons with Carlos to get the car control back.

Experiencia negativa: I had taken this driving school becoz of the reviews , after signing up , he will never call for the lessons , you have to always call him and chase him to set up a driving lesson , on top of that he is very impatient he has a very rude tone to speak while speaking , if i already new driving i would never go for driving lesson rite , if ur new to driving first couple of time he is still ok after that he starts yelling at you , which is very unprofessional and very demotivating , after he yelled at me , i made sure i never see his face again , so i would not recommend this driving school at all , and carlos behavior is very bad and unprofessional, we pay him to learn driving with cool and calm head not that we listen to his yelling and have a bad day ... bad service i wish i could give 0 star :-( EXCUSE ME you dont even know me to blame me of not sleeping , i sleep 10 to 12 hr every day and for ur information i am muslim i dont party or drink so just becoz ur depressed carlos you cannot put the blame on me , you have ur own problems and u cannot carry your problems when your teaching lesson and take it out on ur students , if you have issues of some one doing black magic on you and your business that is not my problem , keep your issues at home and pls dont take it out on students , yes i learn on my own pace and that was the challenge for you which you cannot handle well , coz first you had hard time coming early morning 8am , my lesson would start later after 8.30am and you have your own mood swings which out of depression you take it out on me , so first you need to work on your own ability of teaching , learn some new skills of teaching first and the basic of teaching is staying calm which u need to learn first before becoming a driving instructor , so my best advice to u will be pls sort out ur personal problems first , learn to stay calm and be polite with ur student coz i am paying you to stay calm and polite and its your job to teach well , while teaching reverse driving you didnt even tell me if i have reverse on right which side should i turn the car steering wheel so learn how to give proper instructions , rest i truly believe in god karma would work , coz god only knows what you have done so just wait and watch , rest you are smart enough to know how to treat people so they do black magic on you , be good and people will be good to you thank you and good luck with ur poor business .

People are always concerned with just passing the exam that they fail to realize that once they pass it they will be on the road and it will be just them... Experiencia negativa: Horrible! Booked an appointment with them and they never showed up or picked up the phone! Never had a chance to be a client since they flaked on meeting with me to book classes. I have text messages with the owner about coming to their location to book sessions, went all the way to their storefront, and was then told he would not be in that day.

Experiencia positiva: Carlos is wonderful,patient and intelligent man who can show you how to pass your road test first try. However when it comes to professionalism, it's seem to be slightly difficult for him. He doesn't always pick up the phone and when he does he seems disheveled and unprepared, which is all hard to deal with if you're trying to schedule your sessions. Good man, but he needs a secretary or something to relief him of some of the responsibilities so he can focus on teaching.
