Experiencia negativa: If I could give zero stars I would. Walking in the hotel it smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. I got to my room and could not connect to the WiFi (and could not get a strong enough signal to do anything during my 2 day stay forcing me to leave to a nearby Starbucks to do my work). The gym, if you can even call it that, had fallen ceiling tiles on the floor with nearly no functioning equipment. To top it all off, my room was not serviced while I was gone for the day. Would not recommend staying here and definitely don’t believe photos you see online.

They also have a pet cat they keep in the building and it hangs around at the check in desk and the smell on weed through out the hallways. Card readers at every entrance of building doesn't work and anyone off the street could walk in the building. Nasty environment. Do not stay at this hotel.

Experiencia negativa: This hotel. Needs to be condemned and torn down and never build back again. The snack machine was behind the desk so therefore the front store clerk was the vending clerk. The rooms smelled very stuffy and old. The out side doors were NEVER locked. The elevator door NEVER closed so I think all was on the first floor. Dont think housekeeping is on the premises cause your beds will never be made. If you want towels go to the front and smthen again she will then and get you some towels. Just dont stay at this hotel. This is serious dont support this garbage of a hotel and if you decide to just know you were warned.

Experiencia negativa: Front desk was very sweet. Lobby had a grecian look to it. This review is based on the circumstances surrounding my reason for walking in my room and turning around to void/cancel my stay. Hallway smelled very strong, turn my stomach strong, of weed. BTW, there's a no smoking policy. Then I walk further to my room where I was "assessed" by 2 women on the "cheap looking" bags I am using. The room had the number written in marker above the door, I walked in without using the key card. The room was dingy and I was not comfortable sitting on the bed or chair. The smell was musky and heavy like. It didn't help that the state fair workers were staying at this place, late night activity since the fair was across the street. I was in town for business so late night activity was not on the agenda for me.

Experiencia negativa: The photos on line are very very deceiving. I pulled into the parking lot and was sure the place was closed down and Google just didn't update. The rooms were very run down and smelled of mildew very hot AC barely working. The pool was GREEN slime and debris all in the pool. I couldn't handle it asked for a refund and left. Why a place like this would ask for a $50 deposit is beyond me. The staff was friendly and didn't seem surprised when I said i couldn't stay they were very quick to void my transaction. This place really needs to be closed down. Its nasty moldy and unsafe. None of the doors with in the hotel leading to the outside locked.

Experiencia negativa: Reserved this online..pictures made the place look amazing..when we pulled up I kinda wondered about the place...while we was checking in an employee was screaming and cussing...in front of my kids mind you , checked in and after the room price they also charged us a $50 deposit on top of that...so we got our keys ..went around the building like we was told to do...and it was so so bad...the door into the building didn't lock...we walked to the room, and it took a few minutes to get our key to work..walked in and turned around and walked out! It was disgusting and smelled really old...I took keys back to front desk and told her we were not staying...she asked why i told her the room was gross..my husband had 2nd degree burns on his feet and could not take the chance of infection..she said we would get our money back $127.34 later we still did not get any of our money back...this place needs to be shut down for good!

Yeah, like im gonna just find a random hotel and review-bomb it, lol. No, I DID stay there, and it was awful. Trust me on that.

Experiencia positiva: Ok so I stayed here in spite of the reviews I read. You can tell that this was at one time a very nice hotel and I'm sure the owners if they could would put it back to what it was. For the money I have no complaints, however the security locks at the exits don't work so anyone can gain access to the buildings. I didn't see any bedbugs like one person said and the shower worked well. I had a working TV and the fridge was cold. The place was quiet but it was Sunday but I don't believe it's a Crack hotel as someone else posted. Never smelled marijuana either. They charge fifty dollar deposit which they gave back when I checked out. Also look out for the attack cat in the lobby, he loves people and likes to play.

Experiencia negativa: First off I was given the wrong room, it was supposed to be a king room with a flat screen tv (that’s what my booking order said at least) but instead I got a two queen and an old 1960 Zenith tube tv. Getting to the room I had a random cat chasing me down the halls and trying to crawl on my stuff and trying to get into my room, at 12 o’clock in the morning it started clawing and meowing to try and get into my hotel room. When we finally got into the room there was still someone else’s hair on the pillows, old used floss picks were sitting on the air conditioner -right underneath the curtains with cigarette holes burnt into them (in the non smoking room), and old food, a drink, and a slushy were left in the refrigerator before we got there. It was all around disgusting and disappointing. The only redeeming quality was that the staff were very friendly people.

Experiencia negativa: This hotel is a waste of space. At first glance, you can tell this building was once a gem. The structure of the building and some of the old antique fixtures has so much potential to make a great space, HOWEVER - it's obvious that the current owners don't care about the guest's experience. 1. My bed had stains and patches of hair in the sheets. 2. Toilet seat has stains and looks very warn. When I mentioned this to the manager, she laughed and said "oh yeah, that was supposed to be fixed by now." 3. Hallways smell like urine. There were NO other cars in the parking lot and I would assume they don't get much business. I do not recommend this hotel.

The building is beautiful. It is not overcrowded. There is a big ball room in the back but I have not toured through yet. I highly recommend staying here.

I wish I could share the pictures I took to show why this place should be avoided. I did post them on their Facebook page but it's just a matter of time before they are removed, I am sure.

Experiencia negativa: Bad experience! I was attending the MSECA Conference with my parents and fiancé. We had two separate rooms. Since I was paying for my parent's room, I chose to stay here. The room that was under my name was horrible! There was mold in the bathroom, the fridge and microwave would occasionally cut off (you have to push on the actual wall socket to make it work), there was moldy pizza in the microwave, a empty 2 liter bottle under the bed, a word I can't exactly make out was scratched into the bed frame, phone jack wasn't even connected to the room phone, it was just all around dirty. I told front desk about the mold in the bathroom and asked to be moved to another room due to the health issue that I have. I got told they would speak to their supervisor and get back with me. Ha, yeah right! They never did anything. I would not recommend them at all! Note to owner: If you want pictures, I can send you plenty.

Experiencia negativa: This is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The lobby and hallways smell disgusting, they don’t turn on the AC in the hotel at all, so it’s extremely hot. We stayed 5 days, and housekeeping didn’t come to clean any of our 3 rooms at all. We had to continually go up front to ask for towels and toiletries and every time we would do that we would get an attitude- ESPECIALLY from the old man at the front desk. The whole time we were here our keys never worked so we had to have someone from the front let us into our room every time. They came into our rooms before we checked out and told us we had to clean them before we left (isn’t that what housekeeping is for???) or we would be charged a fee. Keep in mind that all week we were the ONLY guests in the entire hotel and they couldn’t even do anything as simple as bring us towels. Our fridges also didn’t work in any of the rooms and were moldy. If I could give zero stars, I would. This place should be shut down.

Experiencia negativa: Don't stay here. We found a room the same day online for $63 & we got what we paid for. Cheap towels, smelled of old cigarette smoke; empty cigarette pack, used tampon behind the bed, & as we were packing up our vehicle, the front desk guy went into the room & came out eating the food we had on the night stand. Absolute garbage. We were deceived by the nice looking lobby & fountain at the entrance of the hotel but no cars should've been our first & last clue.

Experiencia negativa: So we get to the hotel around 2 and we are getting situated and my boyfriend finds a bug in the bed, the. You know I look around I find a baby roach on the wall so he kills both. I don’t want to get in the bed due to the bug already found so then he pulls the sheets back and finds another bug. So that’s three two looked like bed bugs and the other was a roach. The smell was awful. There was stains all over the walls in the hallway our room was down and the was dead and smushed bugs on the walls. I do not recommend this hotel.

Experiencia negativa: As previous posters have stated, please avoid this place at all costs. When you first walk into the front desk and look around it’s a pretty hotel. Upon further inspection there is a candy store behind the desk that looks like it’s from the prison commissary. On the walls there is a room change charge if you’re in the room for longer than 15 minutes. This should have been my first red flag but decided to give it a chance. We ended up changing our rooms because when we walked in the AC was not on in the entire room smelled like mold. Upon turning on the air-conditioner, I was blasted with the smell of urine. We tried to cancel our reservations but because we ordered through Travelocity we were unable to do so at the front desk. The gentleman who was on site told us that the rooms were fine and he’s lived there for five years. By the looks of him he could live in a fish camp as well for five years and be perfectly happy. As we decided to move to another hotel when we told the front desk we stayed at the Regency the lady recoiled in fear.Because of our awful stay at the Regency the Marriott decided to give us a room at a discounted rate and made our trip awesome. On a sidenote, we tried to cancel through Travelocity but Travelocity charged us a cancellation fee that was more than the room. Don’t use Travelocity either.

It's minimalistic, our 1 bed had 1 sink, TV was nice with basic cable and the breakfast wasn't bad but onto what is and earned them 3 less stars. Our biggest problem had to be a the random as hell block party they allowed to be had on a Sunday night in their parking lot. When we checked in we were practically the only people there. By 7 that night every single parking space was filled and practically none of them were people staying in the hotel. We know this because practically every car there was gone way early in the morning and the ground was just LITTERED with trash big time. They were loud and all over the lobby using the amenities and whatever else they wanted. I don't understand their relationship with the owner but I don't really care. Looks really, really bad and it doesn't make the place feel safe or welcoming. If you want paying customers I would get that under control fast.

I've already changed rooms due to the dirty sheets...the wifi is so so which make me working impossible. First room had a hole in the wall where an air conditioner supposed to be, the second room the out dated tv showed only in purple and the third room was ok. There where no cars in the parking lot it like an abandoned hotel. The only have three towels per room and you have to return your towels in order to get clean towels. The ballroom where the wedding was at was beautiful. It’s a cheap hotel and you get what you pay for. Oh yhea bring your own towels.

Experiencia fantástica: Local hotel with some convention center capabilities. They have a beautiful atmosphere and interiors. They have good customer service and great prices. Though they are a very nice place they are a bit off the beaten path hidden in a northern corner of downtown but easy to find due to being hidden behind one of Jackson's biggest and most notable and famous landmarks the Coliseum. With all that being said their lack of location and breathtaking views leaves them a great place to usually easily book for crowds or spur of the moment needs because their location leaves them last to be picked being that they are literally the last hotel on the street that is literally a row of hotels that are bigger names.

Experiencia negativa: I was here for a School Color Guard Competition there was 4 of us in one room with 2 beds and there was pee stains, a live hornet, and other mysterious stains also to mention my friends across the hall had a dead cockroach in their sheets. Also the front desks people had no idea what room was on what floor and they were extremely inconsiderate and rude. Oh and for breakfast when it’s gone, it’s gone they only refill the grits. So before you stay here take into consideration that a one night stay IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY!! No matter what the chances are!

Terribly run down buildings, mold and mildew around the air conditioner, bed covers were completely disgusting, TV plug kept popping and TV would shut off on its own. Smelled of straight mildew when we walked in. In the very scary back parking lot, there was a man that sat in his car for HOURS watching us! They advertise a bar in the hotel which is NOT a thing. Their "bar" is a mini fridge behind the check in counter with 3 dollar beers. We decided to check out and stay elsewhere and they didn't offer a refund since we had been there longer than 15 minutes. Just want everyone to know what you're getting if you decide to stay here.

Experiencia positiva: March 9th - Reasonably priced; however, I'd give customer service two stars and here's the reason. I put four quarters in the candy machine, not really noticing that one of the rows had fallen down, which prevented my cookies from falling to the bottom so that I may retrieve the package. Evidently, some others had lost money as well. As I was going back to my room, two of the workers were coming through the door. I stopped him and explained that my cookies had gotten stuck. The gist of is reply was that the machine was broken and that they don't even own the machine, yet the machine is located in YOUR hotel! Soooooo, no "Well mam, you can come to the front desk and I'll repay your funds," or "If you give me your contact info, I can have it sent to you." No, he said there were snacks that they sell behind the desk and that I can come and get something from there...UHHHH, NOOOOOO! So I toll the hubby I would ask for my money back on the snack, and it was evident I'd lost money, because you could see where the snack had fallen but stopped due to the broken machine "row." I know it's just a dollar, but it's the principle of the thing. My hubby said forget about that. At least they could put a daggone sign on the machine to warn others!!! Not just allow money to continue to pile up. March 10th - UPDATE!!! This is the ABSOLUTE LAST TIME we'll ever stay at this place! Breakfast??? Only grits??? Not even a pancake and/or sausages??? And the milk is just enough to feed one or two people!!! My hubby went see what was there, and a mother and three kids with her, so she could've really saved the money on breakfast. They had the get the last lil milk AND cereal that was there. My hubby was going to get some milk but left it so she could feed her kids! THIS IS A DAMN SHAME??? Mostly "us" here...and you can just guess who "us" is!!! We'l do Hampton Inn next time; it'll be worth the money!!!

Experiencia negativa: The staff was very friendly, although this was the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at.The hotel smells bad as if the carpet is not clean/flity scent. The bed comfortable had a cigarette burn in it.....we were in a smoke free room with cigarette burns on the covers. The tvs are out dated do not expect a flat screen TV box shaped tvs the bathroom and carpet was disgusting. The dry towels had brown stains on them we had to request more towels. There are ironing boards in the rooms with no irons, I was told by another customer there was only one working iron there and you had to get the iron from the front desk, he offered to bring it to me after he finished with it.This hotel really needs to be updated I WILL NEVER VISIT HERE AGAIN!! The lobby is the only presentable area. Very uncomfortable stay I couldn't wait to hit the highway everything was booked I didn't have a choice. Although, I was offered a smoking room I refused it due to the smoke smell.

Experiencia positiva: It was a very clean hotel, however it definitely needs some updating/additions in the hotel area. Our bed was rock solid. We asked for a mattress pad, only to find out that the pad was actually just a thin blanket. We asked for extra pillows twice and never got them. Housekeeping was scared of my dog, which I understand. She's a big American Bulldog. But it also made me nervous to leave her alone in the room, in case housekeeping came. I didnt want to scare them. Out at the pool area, they needed more chairs and umbrellas. One umbrella was broken and flipped over and the other was occupied. As full as the hotel was, it's expected that everyone wants to be by the pool. On the other hand, it was really clean for an outdoor pool. Lastly, we were traveling from Florida because of hurricane Irma. We tried to get our t.v. to turn to the weather station, but only 1 channel worked. Barely. It wasnt worth it to call in, we just watched on our comouter instead. But a few investments here and there would make this place great!

However when we checked our room there was a condom raper between the sheets in one room and pubs in between the sheets in another. It also stunk and was HOT. We were sweating. The staff was embarrassed and approved out full refund even giving us a signed receipt. We did not In fact relieve our full refund because the owner stopped it . An owner who is not on sight mind you. This place is disgusting and obviously the owner is a crook who cares not about her property nor does she seem to care about the condition of her hotel. Experiencia negativa: I brought a big group with me passing through we decided to stay here, Until one room had small trash in bathtub, Another had trash in sink and what appeared to be blood or some kinds of stains al on curtains, and another room had living spiders in bed along with hair. The man at front desk had to open one room for us because the lock didn't work, so only he had a key to get in and out. nothing like the online pictures that were provided. The people were some what helpful considering we unloaded went in rooms and loaded back up and went to another hotel down the street. They were able to refund most of our money. Except 20.00 per room.

Experiencia positiva: Honestly after reading the previous reviews, I was terrified. With that being said we have had a lovely experience. The room was clean. The breakfast was actually way more than expected (pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, etc.). The staff was friendly and overall our experience was great. It is outdated as in the TV barely has any channels and it is an old tube tv, but we did ot come to stay for the television. Well worth the price and if we ever come back to Jackson this is where we will stay.

Experiencia negativa: Avoid at all cost, this place is dilapidated and unsafe. None of the exterior doors lock, beds were nasty. They advertise a bar and restaurant but neither are available.

Experiencia positiva: Room was clean. Ladies at the front desk were very nice. However, they did not see fit to tell us about the water outage before we rented the room and discovered it ourselves

Experiencia positiva: Rooms are reasonably priced, but you get what you pay for. The elevator was out of order, a light in my room was broken, and my room smelled faintly of cigarette smoke. If you don't mind slight inconveniences, this is a serviceable budget hotel.
