Experiencia negativa: Used this guy for my son’s road test. On parallel parking skill, he touched the curb with the tire, proctor automatically failed him and ended the test. Checked with friends who had bumped curbs at the DPS proctored test and they were just docked a few points. This guy has no incentive to pass you- pay for every attempt, no real feedback like you get from a real proctor. $80 for 5 minutes…better off with appointments at DPS. Notice how a lot of the 5 star ‘glowing’ reviews haven't reviewed anything else…definitely fishy. Edited to ask: your reply says my statement is wrong. What about my statement is wrong? If all you have is that you disagree with my opinions, so what? That isn't surprising. I don't need to go to DPS with you to defend my opinions.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a fantastic experience at the driving school, thanks to Mr. Julius. He’s an excellent teacher who clearly loves what he does. His positive energy made the lesson enjoyable. Mr. Julius explained how to handle real-life situations on the road that weren’t in the books, making me feel well-prepared for anything that might come my way.

Experiencia negativa: Oh, where do I start? Son took the classroom portion of drivers education with Julius and then I tried to transfer to parent taught where I was given a hard time. He informed me I owed money so I payed it and left a bad review, so he refused to give me the paperwork until I took down my negative review. So I called the local PD for theft and the officer on duty told him that he was breaking the law but still refused to hand over. So I made a complaint with TDLR& better business bureau. Finally got the paperwork, only cuz I took down my review. I cannot tell you what to do, but I would not recommend this Driving School, even if it was free. Period point blank.

Before the test even started the instructor said last one of the day let’s get this over with

Mr. Julius is extremely rude nor does he have the patience that be should have to be doing the job that he is doing. If you have a child that has anxiety or any type of special need, DO NOT use this school. And for the person (assuming the owner) that reads these reviews and likes to write back rebuttals on bad reviews, just save your energy and do not even bother to defend your instructor. Pay attention to the common denominator of bad reviews and fix it instead of making excuses. I am a business owner as well and I take our reviews, both good and bad, very seriously and you should as well. FIX THE ISSUE AND STOP ALLOWING it to happen. And just so you are aware, I took my child to another driving school and she passed with flying colors AND we have a licensed driver but not because of Secure Lane. PS. Never, NEVER ask a student or parent to give a 5 star review at the very beginning like you did. Wait until the end of the program before you ask for a 5 ⭐️ review. Gauge and examine your reviews from there.

Experiencia negativa: My husband recently took his driving test here. The girl at the front desk is amazing!! She had such positive energy, and very friendly, not only to us, but the others waiting. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the instructor. For someone who has a thick accent himself and is clearly not from this country nor English being his first language, was very judgmental to my husband making the comments right before driving about how he needs to learn English better as he didn’t speak it great but does understand it. During the drive he also got aggressive by raising his voice. When they came back from the test drive he asked me “do you speak English?” And directed me into his office. He proceeded to go over what went wrong during the drive, completely ignoring my husband, standing in front of him, and also looking at his phone the entire conversation. Being a new driver and taking the driving test is nerve racking as it is without having someone aggressive in the car. It was inappropriate and don’t recommend him to instruct anyone. We paid money for driving test not an English lesson. Instead of retaking the test at this location we were able to find another school nearby. At this other location they also only spoke English but didn’t give anyone a hard time or a judgmental attitude. My husband was able to pass his driving test and is now a licensed driver. The instructor Julius needs to have patience with not only kids, but adults as well

Experiencia negativa: If I could rate this school a negative, I would. Overall getting a driver's license is already a stressful experience and this is simply a money making scam. Unfortunately, I am too deep in (Pre-purchased) and there is no clear way to request a refund. We have been here 3 times, and every time there is "just one piece of paperwork that's wrong" so you have to completely reschedule and are charged for the visit. Maybe this wouldn't be a big deal, except they do this at least once to every I have seen enter on our 3 visits. Denied. Reschedule. Denied. Reschedule. Every time they say "something is wrong" they are putting $100 in their pocket and you are simply at their mercy. Save your money and schedule straight with the DMV.

Experiencia negativa: Could not believe how rude and uncaring the man was . was told from the start just getting paperwork signed that we were already waisting his time. Like I’m not already a stressed out mom trying to do my best. Could have found a much nicer way to deal with paying customers. For the response, YOU STOLE MY MONEY did not get a service at all. If my son failed obviously we wouldn’t ask for a refund but you charged money then were awfully rude and we did not even get to the point of a drivers test so you are a SCAM. you can’t charge for a service if you never got said service. Absolutely the most rude man that should not be working around children.

Experiencia negativa: I have had a poor experience because the school doesn’t communicate well with the parent. Some things I’ve learned to assist others: 1) Schedule the drive time ASAP, needs to be done within 6 months or you have to pay extra; 2) Make sure you get the password to schedule the drive time from your kid or the school, it’s all scheduled online via their website; 3) Make sure you have all the required documents before the Road Test, the school has one form and won’t give it to you until you ask for it; and 4) if you have to reschedule, make sure to get that password and reschedule within 24 hours or you’ll pay more out of pocket. This school definitely makes money out of you if you don’t pay attention! It probably would have been easier completing the self-pace at home instruction for all the lack of communication I got from an in-class room instruction.

Experiencia negativa: This guy will do ANYTHING to take your money. “Late fees” for payments that I never even received a call or warning for, and forces the students to leave good reviews in order to make up for the true reviews about his scam. If you have the chance to go to any other driving school, please do.

He is very textbook based, but it helps us students know the rules and laws of the road! He draws out situations and doesn’t mind explaining things a few times so you really understand what he’s trying to say.

The instructor is friendly and does a great job teaching. He does rely on the students to use effective communication with parents on what to do next/what is needed, which can be a little frustrating because…teenagers! But! We got through it! Definitely recommend!

Experiencia negativa: I would never recommend this school. The business seems to have no compassion.. our dog had to be put down suddenly and he still charged us $40 for the class my daughter missed. Now we are having to pay ANOTHER $40 because he only gives 6mo to get drive time done and we are a little past that. In this day when it takes forever to get into the DPS, I feel like a bit of leniency could be afforded!

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT USE HIM! Believe the bad reviews! He will steal your money! As a parent nothing is explained to you and when you call to get clarification HE EXPLAINS NOTHING and is VERY RUDE. He stays booked up so your kid can barely schedule “behind the wheel” lessons and then blames you for not being able to schedule. With all the difficulties dealing with him I called the State to see if there was another route we could take, Got information for another driving school went through them received the DE-964 certificate. Schedule the road test with the school, since my son was comfortable with him and knew what he was looking for when it came to driving. Day of the road test Julius says he can’t accept the certificate, EVEN though I called beforehand to verify it was the right certificate that was needed and refused to refund for the road test even though he said he was going to refund because he was tired of people saying he stole their money. Julius is a horrible person and a thief. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE. ** UPDATE ** That same day that he didn’t want to accept DE-964 for the driving test we went to another driving school in McKinney they accepted the form and he was able to do his driving test that day. Now he is a licensed. No help from Julius.

Experiencia negativa: Just left the office without any service. My daughter lost her $80. We went in and told not show SS card and birth certificate (which is clearly marked on the door). We were asked for drivers Ed certificate and right away told it wouldn’t work. “This happens all the time,” he says. He “turns away so many people with that same wrong document.” Told to go home and get the right one that has the word Driver instead of Permit and reschedule. After explaining that would mean paying another $80 he said he’d give me a special password that would only charge us $20. So now home and looking at rescheduling and there is no special password needed. 2nd chance test is $20. 2nd chance?!?!? She didn’t even get her 1st chance. Is this place a scam?? Well the fact they try to look official and ask for legal personal documents, but not being government officials I find wrong. The second problem is that we paid for absolutely no service and he admits he turns away people constantly including someone today. This business made $100 off someone earlier and $80 off us and did no work at all. Immoral. Response to your statement about state regulation- the state lets you go get the correct form and not take your money.

The man would not teach me to try properly, if I make a mistake, he will be mad at me and be rude to me even though I have expressed my situation. This guy works really spontaneously. For the teen class, the behind the wheel driving section should be 1 hour per class per student, but when we students come to driving, we can only really learn for maximum of 30 minutes a person.

My husband had an appointment at 2:40 and waited until 4:30 just for the man to tell me him he needed a document that is not a requirement for someone over the age of 25 per the DPS website. Experiencia negativa: my brother in low want to take a driving test. They guy wouldn’t even let him take it because of the language barrier. The reasoning for it was the guy told him to”honk” since my brother in low didn’t understand he didn’t even get in the car with him and want inside and said”I will not be taking him for a test because he didn’t know honk” and didn’t give the money back when we asked to since he didn’t take the test. Personally I think it’s A Scam and if your looking to take a driving test or Learning how to drive just do it online or go somewhere else.

Experiencia fantástica: Honestly I signed up for this class to learn about driving, because I didn’t feel like doing it at home with my parents. I’ve heard it was more stressful and time consuming and I didn’t want to go through that. When I signed up for this class, I was thinking it was going to be really boring sitting in a class for 2 hours, but I actually loved it. Julius is an amazing teacher and I’m just so lucky that I have him to teach me everything I need to know about drivers ed. My boyfriend actually is the one who recommended going there because that’s where he went and he has his license now and he’s actually pretty good at driving. I live out in Bonham so it’s a somewhat drive but I will tell you this, it’s totally worth the drive, money and time. You’ll be amazed at how much you can learn and how good of a time you’ll have learning it.
