Experiencia fantástica: I just took my drivers test and it was awesome. The people in the front desk were nice and professional. Instructor Morales was so nice and helpful. Before starting the test she explained what I was going to be graded on and some fails/ things I should avoid doing. Overall it was a great experience.

Experiencia negativa: The front staff were extremely professional, nice, and helpful. The same could not be said for the driving instructor, MARIA. I was made to feel like i was stupid when driving when i know I am more than capable. You made me want to cry from embarrassment. As an INSTRUCTOR, you should NOT be working with young adults if you are going to be rude and make unprofessional comments. I have never had this experience before and I felt uncomfortable speaking up as it’s clear her confidence to speak in such a manner is gained from her power to pass or fail an individual. I also believe her grading was inconsistent and more than strict. Not even a state trooper at the dps would talk or grade me that way. Again, the staff at the front was more than helpful & the service was prompt. I got my license the same day and the woman at the front was all smiles for me! I’m disappointed to see that this instructor has other negative reviews and nothing seems to be done about it. Unfortunate to see such a good business lack in holding their associates accountable. Good job to the rest of the team, I wish all of you were like that.

I respected your appointment time for my son and had him thereon time, but your instructor was 25 minutes late, and after I inquired if the driving test was happening, she raised her voice to tell me she was in the restroom. Extremely unprofessional. I was told the appointment was overbooked. That's not my problem. Why do that in the first place?

We started during COVID so my son had to do the classes online and I served as his driving instructor. Before he took his drivers test I had him work with their instructor a few times just to make sure we were on the right track. Since he was nervous we opted to do a practice test before he did his actual driving test. I would recommend this to anyone who is nervous. It was a good way for my son to get used to the instrutor and be more relaxed during the actual test. So happy we went with Driving Zone!

Experiencia negativa: I called & the reception said so & so student was ready to be picked up. I said I was calling in & she put me on hold. I said I wanted my eighteen year old to take the Teen Program but she said the State of Texas will not allow that. She said 18 year olds can take the adult course & then pay $60 per driving lesson and hung up. This seemed unprofessional to me and she should have transferred me to an instructor/management to verify this information/discuss all options.

They were well paid but I was required to Teach, utilize my personal vehicle/gas and fill out all forms. The "driving school" didn't communicate with us as expected either. Experiencia negativa: This place looks nice, but in reality the instructor doesn't know how to teach. I had instructor Peña only two times, and I will not go again because of him. On the first time he only told me to practice at home. Well, let me tell you all something: if I am paying for a driving lesson, is because I do not have a car in which I can practice. So this "service" is the only practice I get. I went back again, and I was assigned the same instructor, and he was all sarcastic. I got out the parking lot and he asked if I had been practicing, and I told him yes, and he said "doesn't look like it." Instructor Peña, if you are reading this, I will explain it again: I am paying you to teach me how to drive, not to hear your sarcastic comments. Then he took me to an empty parking lot, and he told me "turn left" inside the parking lot. So I turned left, but I assumed he wanted me to go back. He proceeded to step on the brakes, and then yelled at me "why would you think I wanted you to go back?" and I was like "I didn't know what you wanted me to do." I am not a mind-reading genie, you know? Then all the time I was in the lesson he was just being sarcastic, and I had the urge to literally turn off the car, and go back to the school walking because he was so rude. I paid 60 dollars to just get yelled and be a punching bag of a sarcastic instructor for an hour. I will not come back here, except if that instructor is fired and I am assigned a different instructor.

The route was pretty simple and was not a cause for worry, and the directions given by the examiner made it easy for me to know what to do and how to perform several driving tasks safely and efficiently. I definitely recommend coming here for your driving test if you want a quick and simple process to get to your license.

The driving lessons were enjoyable and thorough for my teenager. The classroom instruction was informative and complete. My teenager was very well-prepared to pass her driving test. Experiencia fantástica: Edit: since my last post Drive Zone communicated with us and we have been satisfied with process and my sons driving lessons. Carly and all the staff including all the instructors have been amazing and the communication has been on going to complete my sons driving lessons. They have accommodated my sons driving lessons to fit his busy schedule. Thank you for all the valuable lessons you are providing to these young drivers and feel more confident to have my son driving with the guidance and instruction you are providing. I paid $350 for my son’s drivers Ed classes pre-pandemic and had to transition to virtual classes(when pandemic began)and now I have been having issues on what to do now that he has permit I want them to teach my son how to drive they have given me different reason as to why they aren’t doing the driving portion anymore (1st was that the law changed in Texas to only parent taught, 2nd that the driving course was courtesy and they no longer do it and lastly that they have a shortage of teachers wanting to drive due to COVID. Now they want me to pay $25 (since I was asking about me transferring to another driving school or pay $40 an hour for private driving lessons. I have my contract that I paid $350(which has the driving included ) and now I’m being told its just the class instruction for that I would have taken him elsewhere. I feel if things with company changed they should have at least honored our contract but they said the driving part was only courtesy which they aren’t doing anymore . Very disappointed with the lack of communication and services or lack thereof, now I have to pay to transfer his records to another driving school and pay that school to finish what I had originally paid for . I will say he learned with the classes as he passed to get his permit . I don’t feel comfortable teaching my son and will need another school to help me get through this .

I was really impressed that as soon as he passed his test, one of the staff members scheduled an appointment with the DMV within 20 min after the test. Staff is very friendly and ready to answer any questions you have. Their office is super clean. Staff member will clean cars in between uses. GREAT JOB!

The woman who was grading me made negative comments during the exam, and even laughed at me at one point, which I find rude and unprofessional.

And now that I want them to teach my daughter how do drive they tell me they have a shortage of teachers wanting to drive due to COVID. The crazy thing is that in the same breath the “manager on duty” was offering my daughter private lessons to make sure she knows how to drive before her state exam at $40 an hour...Hmmm..how could you find drivers for that but not to do what basically we are paying you $300 for? Sounds to me like they are just taking advantage of the situation and us. I love giving back to my community, but I don’t like to be taken for a fool by my own community either. Steer clear of these people, they don’t deserve your business!

Experiencia negativa: Frankly, I don't know where to begin with this. This has to be one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a business, even in the valley. This experience is the reason I am reluctant to deal with any locally-owned businesses anymore. There is no accountability. On 06/02/2018 my wife took an Adult Driver's Ed Course after obtaining her Learner’s Permit, based on a misleading advertisement that used to be on their website (which they removed in January 2019), claiming that the Adult Learner’s course was needed in order to file for a bona-fide Driver’s License. Since we were both from out of state, we were unfamiliar with the licensing process in Texas and did not have any resources available to help, we did not know that she did not need this course. Since I had paid for the course for her, I corresponded back-and-forth with the owner Mr. Gurrera about this. We agreed to meet on a Saturday morning about a week after this. I went in thinking we would get this resolved and either credited or refunded for the unnecessary course. Instead, Mr. Guerra sat me in a chair while he and another employee verbally berated me for this. Mr. Guerra even had the nerve to imply that my wife was being dishonest, stating “I’m a police officer. You can trust me”. His employee later tried to defend the latter statement, claiming that he only says that to establish credibility when teaching his course. Since I was not one of his students, he had no business making this kind of statement to me. Mr. Guerra also tried to condemn DriversEd.com for not telling us what the next steps were. After this, he refused to communicate with us any further until we filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They provided a multi-page dissertation filled with misinformation and made a ridiculous claim that I did not even pay for my wife’s course. I DID pay for the course, and I have the receipt to prove it. They also finally offered a resolution: a discount on their on-the-road training course. While we appreciate this offer, it came more than six months after my wife already got her driver’s license, and therefore was just another service that she did not need. After being mistreated here, she had already gone to one of their competitors to finish her driver education and take her road test. The offer also proved to be completely disingenuous, since they refused to respond to any further communication from us. If anything, they ultimately lost money by treating us like this and losing our business. This is why the owner’s behavior confuses me, and leads me to think that he would sacrifice revenue just to make a point. After having our legal firm send numerous demand letters, we decided to file suit earlier this year. Even then, they still refused to communicate with us and still denied any responsibility. Unfortunately, we had to discontinue the suit because of a COVID-related situation. This is disappointing, as I would have liked to see what excuses they would come up with in court to defend their ridiculous behavior. With all of their contradictory statements so far, it would not be hard to catch them in a lie. Overall, the owner and his employees have handled this dispute very poorly. Regardless of who may be at fault, I am appalled at the owner’s lack of respect and inability to handle this issue. The only time people clam up like this is usually because they know they’re in the wrong, and do not want to take ownership of a problem they caused. Countless attempts at written correspondence and settlement letters and e-mails have gone unanswered. That is no way to run a business. However, my offer still stands. I am willing to speak with you again and attempt to work this out. I am a reasonable person and I do not seek this sort of conflict. You have my phone number and email address. Get in touch with me. I’ll leave it to you to do the right thing. At this point, we would like an apology for the way my wife and I were treated.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff here are really attentive and pretty. They’re really nice and care about the customer. Now I’m a pretty anxious guy and I came in with my bundle of nerves not knowing whether or not I’d cope with them. I did eventually overpower these feelings due to a sudden burst of control and others motivating me to push forward not completely removing but subsiding the effects. Heading to the field I still had butterflies and I’d admit at times I didn’t hear my instructor inside of the practice vehicle. (Yeah, sorry.) I was really really rusty, situationally unaware, and generally involuntarily dismissive. But my instructor knew where I was coming from and helped me out. She was really nice, patient, and very understanding with me she also taught me some neat tips to practice on and just more of general hands-on driving experience and safety insight that I was lacking it’s no surprise she’s the best. I still made mistakes though.. (during practice and test runs) and that’s not good.. but I can improve. Overall I’d recommend this school to anyone that’s interested in either drivers ed or interested in getting their drivers license.
