When I arrived, the person at the front desk was on a personal phone call with a friend for a full five minutes, completely ignoring the customers waiting for assistance. This lack of basic customer service is unacceptable. I would not recommend this driving academy to anyone. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

I can't speak for experiences that people have had with anyone else, but if you want to come out of there with confidence and a smile on your face, I would recommend going on Saturdays! :)

The instructor sat and played games on his phone. The lady at the desk was nice. I would say don’t go there if you are under 18 tbh.

Experiencia negativa: I am extremely unhappy with the 6 hour pickup pick off Driving instructions I took with them. On the website they promise 80 minutes behind the wheel each lesson (90 minutes) but Sarah never allowed that much time (This review is right after she dropped me off and the time I am posting this, she should had been instructing me). If I have to remind you of it everytime then it is not right. Deliver the time promised. Over 4 lessons, I was not taught anything of value or that would help me in test. I told her of all the problems I was having or areas where I was lacking confidence or need work in and she focused on none of them. She would shout everytime when I was near the curb that I was going to hit it even though I wasn't. If you are that scared, then don't teach; don't make the student lose confidence. Being near doesn't mean hitting it. She would give incorrect instructions and then shout I did the wrong thing. For example, You can't say things like take a left with right indicator on. Any questions I asked I wouldn't get a proper answer despite framing the questions multiple times so that she could understand but she would not try to understand and would just say some random stuff. If I am being nice to you each class and having my patience, it doesn't mean that it gives you the right to dupe me or make a fool of me. Don't ask me to book more classes in the first class itself. Rather teach properly, work on a student's weak areas and topics and help them. I would not recommend this school or the instructor. Wasted my money and time.

Experiencia fantástica: My teen took his driving course here, and we had a good experience. The (online) classroom portion seemed thorough, and there was enough driving practice through the lessons and personal practice hours for him to confidently pass the tests. He loved driving with Tammy the most; she kept him calm and taught him a lot. I wish the class wasn't so expensive, but that's the same with all the state-mandated teen classes. This school is more affordable than many.

Experiencia negativa: Store front unattended. Vehicles used have deficient equipment. Pointed out broken taillight lenses to instructor. If it wasn’t a requirement to use a service of this type they’d never attract customers.

Experiencia fantástica: They are so nice and professional I highly recommend taking the classes if your young and just learning how to drive. I also recommend having Tammy as your teacher and try to get her for as many drives and tests as possible. Very patient and helpful teacher when it comes to the rules of the road.

Experiencia negativa: I got Carmen as my instructor, she was extremely sassy and overall just felt unprofessional. She instantly failed me for clearing the intersection at a yellow light claiming that I ran a red light.

There was a lot of communication needed with the WA Department of Licensing, and Lallu was diligent and supporting in helping us navigate through the process and get her the extra instruction and testing required. I would highly recommend Burien Driving Academy.

Experiencia negativa: This place is awful! Some of the worst customer service I've ever seen. Go somewhere else. My fiancée went here to get her license. After passing her written test they scheduled her driving test for a few days later. When she arrived they said that they had forgotten to mark down her appointment in their calendar and had double booked. Oh well, mistakes happen. They rescheduled her and she came back a few days later. They didn't mark down her appointment AGAIN and had to reschedule AGAIN. Finally after nearly 2 weeks she showed up for her 3rd driving test (scheduled properly this time). The person testing her showed up late to the appointment. During the test he acted impatient the entire ride, tapping his pen and his foot constantly. At one point he told her "You're driving sooo slow!" SHE WAS DRIVING THE SPEED LIMIT on a driving test. She passed her test and they told her they would submit her info to the DOL and she could schedule an appointment with them for the next week to get her license. When she arrived the DOL could not find the record they had submitted. She and the DOL agent both tried to call the office. After calling more than 15 times they finally answered the phone and it turns out they had improperly submitted the forms. She would need to wait again. If you're keeping track this is now 4 different times she had to leave school early to make it to appointments that were either a waste of her time or their employees showed up late. She finally got her license, but it took more than 30 days longer than it should have. Seriously, don't go here. Anywhere has to be better.

Experiencia fantástica: I took my written test way back 2021 and i failed 1st attempt but when i got another test I passed, staff are friendly and accommodating. I got my driving skill test today i was nervous but my instructor (Noah) was so calm and soft spoken, they way he instructed me while i was driving sometimes I’m having hard time to heard it but i can asked him again and is very patient to me. I thought i did not pass but as soon as We back to the office I said I passed. THANK GOD! And God Bless this licensing office I would say BEST DRIVING LICENSING OFFICE EVER! Highly recommended.

He quickly figured out where I needed help for my test and focused on that. He was amazing and I bbn passed! This is absolutely where I'm sending my son when he is ready. 10/10

Experiencia positiva: After an hour of searching around on Google, I went here because this driving school was the closest and highest rated here. (NOTE: This review is based only off of taking the knowledge test) Customer service was alright, front desk lady and knowledge test proctor seemed nice. Cons: if you plan on taking the knowledge test here, it can get pretty loud and distracting at times. The classroom isn’t completely separated off from the front room. Although it would be nice, this driving school doesn’t provide a knowledge test prep course with free extra attempts like some other schools do. I’m a first time inexperienced driver and I failed the test twice here. The only test materials the school provided was the official driver guide. If you’re a skillfully independent learner OR you had experience with driving then taking the knowledge test here should be no problem. - minus 1 star for noise and distractions while test taking Will update my review after taking drivers lessons here.

Experiencia fantástica: I went here to do a DOL written test and a driving exam to my get license back. The place was awesome and the people who work here are very pleasant. (Shout out to Kramer) I came here a few days ago to take the written test and bombed, missed 12 out of 40. (Life isn't without humility) The staff had no judgement what so ever infact they cheered me on my second attempt. The second time I passed missing 2 answers out of 40. Don't be like me and just grab a copy of the Washington drivers guide and sharpen your knowledge. If you got any young ones or you just need to get your license back then bring them here. They even have a driving simulator in the back looked like you could play Forza horizon on it. I couldn't of asked for a better experience though Thank you burien driving academy. ✌️

The other instructors were late and some were even on their phone. Only go if you want your teen to get their license by 16 but don’t expect for your child to be informed by the end of it.

I finished my written knowledge test a little quicker than the practice tests and beat my average easily. Lobby is adequate for 2 maybe 3 people to wait while Front Desk is verifying credentials. Testing area was large enough to sit comfortable at desks spaced properly. The environment was quiet and respectful. Terrific experience on a Saturday. Great job Lallu and staff. Nailed it! p.s. customers/test takers... parking fills quickly. Arrive early and bring your patience, enjoy your success.

Experiencia fantástica: I love this place so much. I learned how to drive here so easily, and everyone was so patient. I especially loved my teacher Lallu. He not only taught an incredible class, but he helped me basically to learn everything I know about driving. When we would go out on drives, we would have amazing conversations, and my drivers test was made so much less stressful because I had him in the passenger seat beside me. I am very sad now that I no longer get to see him, and the rest of the people at BDA. However, I will always remember them, and I wouldn't have wanted to learn how to drive with anyone else!!!
