I started my lessons with Sean and booked them via helpful Claudia who is very prompt and helpful. Sean was incredible, very kind, calm and confident. My initial instructor, Moon Qin, was calm and patient, helping me build a solid foundation. He eased my nervousness and helped me gain confidence as a new driver. When Moon went on vacation, I switched to Sean Park, who turned out to be an incredible instructor. Sean is very knowledgeable and has a fantastic teaching style. The way he provided tips and feedback were invaluable in preparing me for my test. I learned a lot from him, and it was a pleasure taking classes with him. The customer service representative, Claudia, was very responsive, making it easy to schedule sessions and my behind-the-wheel exam. Despite not being conversational, he gave clear directions, corrected my errors, and demonstrated on how to address them on the paper for a direct visual. Although the school operates mostly virtually ( The office is open once a week ), Claudia, the person to contact for any services or booking appointments, consistently gave a quick response with little wait time.

Experiencia fantástica: I rented a car for a DMV road test at Los Gatos DMV. I got guided practice before the test on the actual test routes for ~30 minutes. My instructor Yanchen was very helpful. He pointed out difficult turns and things to watch out during the test and answered questions I had about rules. I highly recommend Yanchen and Cupertino Driving School!

Moon was punctual and reached an hour before my test, we practiced for ~45 mins on all the possible routes for the exam. He rightly pointed out whenever I was going wrong and gave suggestions on how I can improve a certain turn or an action, he exactly knew what DMV is looking for! Positive experience, would definitely recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great place to learn how to drive. Mr Li was very helpful as he helped me prepare and pass my test.

Experiencia negativa: My case is a little different as I've been driving for a while but never learned how to parallel park or back into a driving spot. I booked this place specifically to learn these skills. I had also specifically communicated that I wanted an instructor who was very comfortable teaching this. Unfortunately, the instructor I received seemed like he would be great teaching a beginner how to drive but did not have the confidence or vocabulary to teach me how to parallel park. Kept saying "you just have to use judgement" when asked technical questions/tips. I know English is not his first language but it wasn't nice to hear "you just don't have the sense." Overall I think this might be sufficient for a beginner trying to get their license (which is majority of people) but was an utter waste of my time and money. I emerged with less confidence than I did going in.

We reached out to Cupertino Driving School as I also needed their car during the behind-the-wheel test. I found John Shin, Li and Claudia to be thorough professionals and it was simply easy and rewarding working with them. My driving lesson instructor Li and John Shin had explained and prepped me through every situation, traffic lights/ conditions, etc. We went over multiple scenarios and routed the lessons around the DMV test route so we were thorough for the test. I specifically want to mention John Shin who's guidance right before the test was very helpful as we went through scenarios and traffic rules again which helped me most during the behind the wheel test. Of course none of this is possible if it weren't for Claudia, who did a fantastic job in coordinating and scheduling the appointments. Making my experience hassel free.
