Experiencia negativa: If I could give 0 stars I would. Norman took my money and always had excuses when the time came to give me my classes--- He refuses to refund me back my money. I am going to take him to court because that seems like my only option! He is very unprofessional about how he does things and doesn't pick up the phone unless it is convenient for him. I suggest you avoid him at all cost unless you want to get robbed!

I was supposed to get my license in 10 days thanks to his "expedite program" but its been three months and he never even gave me the five hour course. Tried to get me to pay 75$ to expedite my road test as well. All he does it take your money and puts you on a pay no mind list.

I paid over 500 dollars for 15 classes which he came only 4 times. Anytime I called to schedule a class, he always came up with an excuse. It was either he has COVID, was out of the country, or his car broke down. He even had the nerve to ask me for an extra 200 for my classes to be expedited. Norman lacks morals, he is disrespectful, and would play victim when you try to get him to do the right thing. I tried contacting him to get the class for over 6 months but he won’t pick up or would never respond to my text. I eventually asked for a refund which he refused to give me. I really hope this business shuts down for good because he doesn’t care about his students, only the money! Take heed to all the bad ratings!!!! HIS BAD RATINGS ARE TRUE! I’m sure the good ones are his friends since they are all from the same country. One day his business would be shut down forever. I’m in the process of reporting his business just like so many people and it’ll be closed for good. He lacks accountability and takes people for granted.TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!! NORMAN IS A FRAUD ! For me, it’s not all about the money but the principle which he obviously lacks. I can’t wait his business to be closed. If I could give him 0 ratings, I definitely would!

Experiencia positiva: There were a lot of things I didn't know prior to taking the road test. After 1 lesson with Norman, I learned how to do a 3 point turn and look at my blindspot while driving. He was beneficial to passing my road test.

Experiencia fantástica: Norman is a great instructor who knows how to get students ready to drive and pass the road test. Both my brother and I passed on the first try, and with his parallel parking video there's no need to worry about hitting the curb or another car.

Experiencia negativa: Please listen to me, I understand everyone tries to make their money but when you take advantage of people that’s on a different level. He is MONEY HUNGRY and you will see yourself just keep giving money because you’re so desperate to get a quick road test date. I’m not someone to post reviews but I wouldn’t recommend this man to anyone!!! He doesn’t teach you nothing other than send you videos to watch on your own. He talks on the phone while he is in the car with you. He has other students pick you up during their lesson to finish up their lesson. He will lie to you by telling you to give more money and he will put you on list to get the road test first please I’ve definitely learned from my mistake and I wouldn’t want anyone else to have to go thru this. Please don’t book him and waste your money!! There are so many other driving schools in the Bronx that will be a better investment where you can actually learn and get your license. Im not sure how he even even got four stars he had to pay people or something cause there’s just no wayyyyy. Trust me !

A complete mistake of an investment to his company, if you can find someone else, don’t waste your time!!!

Experiencia negativa: Please i beg everyone trying to get their license NOT to waste time and money on this business. Norman runs this school as he pleases, does not keep schedule driving time, comes late, and he calls to reschedule sessions less than an hour. He gave my wife a runaround after we fully paid him $450 for 10hours and 2 attempts for the road test. He had the courage to call us and ask the additional money after more than a month with only 4 sessions done. This guy should be stopped from exercising this work asap. Here you go a year later I am still without my money back nor the sessions .

Experiencia negativa: This is the worst driving instructor in the bronx, don't waste your money. Norman is unprofessional, lack communication skills and cancels lessons without notice. You always have to call him then to find out he can't do a lesson. Furthermore, he doesn't want you to pass on first attempt so he stretches out the lessons so he can get you to pay him more money. I do not recommend this school.

Experiencia fantástica: Parallel parking was my biggest fear but Norman conquer that fear. He send me a video and it was the best I have ever seen. I did my road test and when I did my parallel parking I swear it was Norman in the driving seat I could not believe I did it so well. Thank again Norman driving schoool. Best in town.

I called Norman's auto school and he answered on the first call. For a decent price I got a 30 minutes driving lesson and he took me the road test and I passed it all in the same day. Experiencia negativa: This guy deserves 0 stars. This place defines unprofessionalism. Truly a waste. My mother took classes with this so called teacher. He would cancel everytime last minute and delay your your learning process. She would fail everytime because of his horrible teaching skills and she had to actually learn from outside sources to progress in areas he failed to teach her about. He is always canceling and always teaching with other students in the car with you. If you are serious about obtaining your license and doing so in a serious professional and timely, avoid this place at all cost. This person shouldn’t be teaching anywhere, not even on the road.

She should’ve been had her license and all he does is reschedule and make excuses. Nothing is in order and he refuses to refund her money. He allegedly made a road test for her and never gave her a set time. And every step of the way he’s asking for more money. I would suggest u don’t waste yours going there.. Im embarrassed because I sent her there.

He hasn't completed, when you call him to pick you up he doesn't show up or he tells you he's out of the country now my son paid him in full, and he still haven't received all his lessons I will be taking this to Better Business Bureau a small claims court we need a refund oh, I also attach the text messages that I have been sending him in order for my son to finish his lessons, this man is sick because I explained to him that I'm a cancer patient and I need my son to get his license in order to take me back and forth for treatment and he doesn't care.

On the day of an appointment he cancels and doesn’t even let you know until you call him while you’re outside waiting for him to arrive. He is a guy who strong-arms you into paying for things you haven’t made your mind up for and when he does not deliver he makes excuses and DOES NOT EVER WANT to give you a refund, and when you are driving he’s always on his phone and not teaching you the proper way to do things on the road. He says it an hour lesson but actually does like 30-45 minute lessons. He gave me a guy who actually helped me learn how to do things on the road, but Norman is actually a terrible person to work with. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

Called the office and was informed they would contact me back about this issue. They did not contact me nor fix the issue with any of the drivers. Much time wasted, go elsewhere. Will be contacting BBB and filling out a dmv report about this issue with their “hospital emergency”. Edit : Based on other reviews, this is not a standalone problem!!

I asked for a refund because I have been signed up with him for a more than a year. I cancelled like 2-3 times for lessons in advance. However, he kept promising me days for my roads test but kept changing the days and he wasn’t communicating with me in the sense of answering my text messages and calls. I have to call about 5 times a in a row for him to answer. So don’t waste your time, taking his class!

Experiencia negativa: *half a star*Not much i can say, never picks up, i got into an argument once with one of the employees where he said, “ you know if I wanted to I could schedule your test a month from now.” the argument was started because i failed the first test, not to make excuses but the engine was bad but when i looked at other reviews on here they agree with how bad the car felt on the road test. then for my second test they scheduled me at the wrong location so when I showed up for my test the tester told me my name wasn’t there. Norman told me he would schedule another test and this is about 3 months before the pandemic. Til this day I don’t know where he is. Great place if you want to lose some money to be honest. The high reviews must be family and friends. Stephon is an instructor there he is cool, man Stephon if u read this somehow, work at another place your customer service is too good to work here.

If you want to get your license ASAP, Norman’s not the place... Experiencia negativa: My experience was not a good one here and I was definitely unsatisfied. Before the pandemic, I was suppose to take my driving test and did not because of this school honestly. I started out with a great instructor, Stephon. I asked for him again numerous time and he kept telling me he was "fired"or "rearranging his staff" which was a lie. I think he just doesn't like to pay his staff. Then he kept rescheduling with me. I am in grad school but I have a consistent schedule, even on the days I was available to take lesson he was still rescheduling which is why it took me more that 6 moths just to get 10 lessons. I mentioned to him that I wanted to buy a car and he tried to convince me to get it from him and he couldn't even his word with his lessons. when we were in the car he gave NO INSTRUCTION. It was like I was just driving him around and he kept talking on the phone. on my last lesson he spent most of the time talking to some lady about getting her nails done. when my 8th lesson came around (after being reschedule constantly) he signed me up for the road test knowing I wasn't ready and tried to tell me I was. My boyfriend sat in the car with me and was scared for his life while I was driving and when he tried to help Norman didn't want the feedback he was giving. When I mentioned getting my money back for the last lesson he told me that he wouldn't refund me. So I didn't go to my road test and I didn't get my last lesson refunded because of his incompetence. Then the pandemic started, so I knew there was no way I was getting my money back. If your looking to get you license after the Pandemic, This is NOT the school you want to go to. Go to another school that don't have as much bad ratings DO NOT GO HERE. THIS ENTIRE COMPANY IS A BIG SCAM.

I paid my money upfront and he promised I was in good hands but when it was time for my lessons I wouldn’t hear from norman (the owner) and when I showed up to his driving school he was always telling me he’s in a meeting or he has an emergency. When I demanded my money back he all of a sudden ended up in the “hospital”. I tussled back and forth with this man for almost 5 months before I heard anything about getting my money (which I still haven’t gotten). I went to a different driving school and got everything and more for less than what he charged me. Don’t waste your money here folks it’s a waste & he’s a con artist!!

Experiencia positiva: This review is not to insult, but to share my personal experience with this business. I paid a discounted price for a 10 lesson package upfront. I was only able to schedule one lesson per week with my instructor, (who was also the owner) and it was always stressful scheduling lessons because he would tell me that I could get a lesson one day and then when I called to schedule a time, he would tell me that he can't put me for the day that we agreed on. Sometimes the only days he would have open would conflict with my work schedule and then he'd have to "fit me in somewhere". He would constantly talk on the phone or text during my lessons which would cause both of us to be distracted. After completing about 7/10 lessons I was offered an additional 5 lesson package for a discounted price if I paid upfront and I agreed to take the deal because I felt like I needed more practice. As the phone problem persisted I asked for a refund of the 5 lesson package and he promised to correct the issue without a refund. He would usually wait until the time of my scheduled lessons to tell me that he would be arriving 30 minutes late which was very unprofessional. In the end, I did pass my road test on the first try. Norman is an excellent instructor he prepared me well for my road test and he made me feel comfortable behind the wheel, however the stressful experience and poor service that I received is why I would not recommend to anyone. As I said before, this is just my experience. If you decide to choose this driving school, never pay upfront, just pay as you go. Good luck

Experiencia negativa: I think some of these ppl leaving five star ratings are friends or relatives of the owner. Horrible customer service, canceled lesson after lesson smh. I purchased a 10 lesson package n was told that if I paid all upfront, I would receive an 11th lesson free. Our second appointment, Norman was a no call/no show. I called him to see what happened n he nonchalantly stated that the car had mechanical issues. Fine, but a call in advance would've been nice. During a two month span, I only received 6 lessons. He canceled so frequently that I would have to call him the day before our scheduled lesson to ensure he was coming to get me. The last straw was when I called to ask if he was still gonna make it to my lesson....which was a few days b4 my road test. He had a family emergency n told me he couldn't make it n that if I failed my road test, he would give me free lessons to prepare me for the next one. I demanded my money back n took my business elsewhere. Once he gets u to pay upfront, he could care less about your lessons. And he does have way more students than he can accommodate. Run far away!!

However, poor owner, he scammed me into postponing my road test to a different location and then proceeded to give me a car with a messed up engine which basically cost me my road test and then he tried to blame it on me. On top of that, he had the audacity to schedule another road test for me without my permission. I loved my instructor but stay away from this school. It’s definitely a hit or miss unfortunately. I’m definitely taking my business elsewhere.

Experiencia fantástica: I recieved a driving package from Normans Driving school as a Christmas gift. A way to push me back into getting my license by my mother after failing the road test three previous times. I used to pass this place on my way to work and always overlooked it. Once I called, I was immediately scheduled my first lesson that same week with an excellent driving instructor(Kimberly). She gave me clear instructions on what not to do while driving, gave tips on how to pass the road test, helped me correct all my issues(wide turns, parallel parking, ect.) and encouraged me when I began making progress. Norman himself taught the 5hour class and he didn't let up, made sure his students were well equipped to be NYC drivers. After 6 lessons I passed my road test along with three other students that day! Don't judge a book by its cover with this place, you should definitely sign up here if you want to get your license.

The prices are legitimately unarguably cheap as they come for a driving school! PERIOD! I’ve been to a few! The information they have is accurate and they really want to see you flourish!

Experiencia fantástica: I had Kimberly and Norman as instructors and they know what they are doing. They will point out your weaknesses and fix them immediately. My friend and I have both passed the road test recently. I recommend this place to everyone, especially to beginners that need to gain confidence behind the wheel.

Experiencia positiva: Thank God I pass my road test..... instructors teaching skills are great and consistent....... but norman doesn't keep his words. I'm all about giving great reviews, but things will quickly become problem when a owner doesn't hold up to his words. I had one lesson remaining and we had agreed to schedule a date which for me was near impossible because when I reach out to norman he don't response to my text. My opinion on top those who are interesting top attend this driving school, please use text message as form of communication with Norman and keep track of your lesson taken, time , date and name of instructor is very important remember.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great driving school. There are more than one instructor. Norman's parallel parking technique is simple and works well. Surprisingly he was able to find me road tests quickly despite me asking for only Friday. Norman is polite and a straight shooter.

Experiencia negativa: This company is beyond unorganized!!! I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW THE ONER GOES ON VACAY AND UNABLE TO REACH HIM or anybody of that matter for classes i paid for . My driver is always freaking late by like 30 minutes & The owner is money hungry , i don’t understand how you can’t answer the phone for people to schedule lessons but you could blow up my phone because i told u i wanted by more lessons and your blowing up my phone as if i owe you something.i said i wanted to buy more classes i didn’t say when and you blowing me up rushing me !! ITS just completely unorganized!!! AND MY INSTRUCTOR MARCK , A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME !!!!! It’s literally been 3 days of me calling the office to schedule a lesson and no one will answer !!! At this point i just want my money back !!!! IM LETTING EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO GO THERE !!!
