They took me through the road test route, explained the skills I would be tested on and taught me to parallel park. Their guidance put me at ease and I finally passed the test. I borrowed the Ethio Star car for my test, which also helped because it was similar to the ones I had practiced with them on. It was an all around positive and successful experience and I wholeheartedly recommend them to any other nervous drivers like me!

I left Ethio after about 5 driving sessions knowing how to drive without anxiety or fear. The driving instructors are very calm and make you feel confident to drive on the road even if you’ve never driven before. I couldn’t thank Ethio Driving School enough. The instructions given and instructors are patient and even tempered! The best instructors ever. It seems too good to be true! But it isn’t. I wouldn’t recommend any other driving school! Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience with Ethio Star Driving School. I took 5 driving lessons (2hr each) with Hawaryaw (Sundays and Tuesdays). I had not driven in 15 years and had very little driving experience. I was unsure I could get over my insecurities, but after the first lesson, I was already feeling a lot more confident. The instructor provided clear instructions and good feedback. I felt secure while driving with him. In the next lessons, we practiced the things I felt more insecure about and parallel parking (because is required for DC). I also booked the car rental with a 30-minute test drive before the test. The 30min test drive was good to get familiar with the path used for the test, as well as the car. It included a refresher on parallel parking as well. I passed my test on the first try!

Experiencia fantástica: I have had my learners for 2 years and I never drove a vehicle a day in my life. My learners were about to expire 2 months before I enrolled in my first driving on the road class. I was extremely nervous but after my second lesson I was comfortable with driving. In DC it’s a requirement to parallel park. I just knew I was going to fail because parallel parking is difficult. Ethio taught me 5-6 easy step to remember and I passed on my first try. Definitely Would Recommend This Driving School If You Are In Need Of A Car To Use For The Road Test. No Need For All The Extra Inspections Either. Experiencia positiva: My first lesson a year ago was very good, the instructor was kind and patient. My driving was good so we mostly practiced parking. I had a lesson a couple weeks ago and the instructor was very impatient and unprofessional, he made me drive to his apartment for a "10 minute break". My first lesson we didn't take any breaks, and considering I was paying for the time that was weird. He also spent the first half of the lesson trying to convince me he was the same instructor I'd had before and wore way too much cologne. It's very hard to schedule lessons, so if you do choose to take their driving lessons schedule them all at once.

Experiencia negativa: I took a lesson with Ethio Star last year, and the instructor wasn't able to accommodate nervous drivers. He got frustrated at me easily, and expected me to already have basic experience behind the wheel despite me saying it was my first lesson. I also wouldn't recommend booking 2 hours for your first lesson if you're anxious, as it can be overwhelming, but they didn't offer 1 hour blocks at the time.

My instructor, Stephane Kitio, was simply amazing and I will be forever grateful to him for pushing me and for being patient and kind. I also need to thank Mr. Eyob Tadesse for being very responsive and for his professionalism and positive attitude at all times. Ethio Star is simply the BEST!

Experiencia fantástica: I PASSED MY ROAD TEST TODAY!! Truly, it would not have been possible without Stefan's guidance and instruction. I truly believe Ethio Star Driving is the most professional and effective driving school in D.C.! I purchased the 20 hour package and it provided me meaningful training to drive and parallel park effectively. Stefan was my instructor and he was very, very helpful, well-focused, professional, and attentive. He pointed out the mistakes I was making in real time and worked with me to fix them (from switching lanes to making turns and parallel parking). The communication was great with both Eyob and Stefan and they were always very attentive and flexible. They provided a car on the day of the exam for me and Eyob brought the car to the Deanwood test center for me 30 minutes before my exam and helped me mentally prepare for the test. Truly, a wonderful experience and I recommend anyone who wants to 100% receive their drivers license in D.C. to enroll in Ethio Star Driving School! Its worth it.
