The guy I had for my drives Robert was really good as well and and I was able to have a conversation with him which made me more comfortable driving. Overall, i enjoyed the class and am glad to be coming back for segment 2.

Experiencia positiva: Guide to driving instructors Best: Rick, Gabriel, Shane, Roman, Ethan Some instructors (listed above) go absolutely above and beyond to do their job and teach the kids. They explain the driving process perfectly and naturally, giving very helpful tips that are actually useful for future driving. They are also very patient, don’t get irrationally angry and raise their voices at the kids while they are trying to concentrate on driving. Instead, they keep a cool head and tries their best to help. This is often seeing with younger drivers, which may be telling about the teaching styles that are seen with people of different ages. ON THE OTHER HAND, certain (older) instructors are the polar opposite. They offer very, very minimal tips, little to no instructions or explanations. The most they say is turn right, turn left. Also, some instructors become very irritated and frustrated very fast. I hear often of them yelling and raising their voices at the students, which, in my opinion, doesn’t help the students and instead causes them to freeze up and feel scared or oppressed by the negative learning experience. Some instructors also mumble or don’t speak clearly (or at all), and blames/yells at students when they can’t understand or asks them to repeat their instructions. It is an absolute disgrace that we are paying $500+ for these services and get bad treatment with minimal learning. I don’t understand how the ratings are so high. These instructors fail to create a safe, positive, understanding, and productive learning environment, which they are getting paid to do. I am concerned for these student’s safety on the road as well as their mental wellbeing, which is just as important. To summarize, the experience and learning that you get for $500 here can vary drastically depending on just the personality or mood of the instructors, which leads to questions of the qualifications of these instructors. Also, an idea to prevent this in the future, the website for rescheduling drives should allow students to see the instructors they are with before scheduling. We often have to switch around because of the contempt felt towards certain instructors.

Experiencia fantástica: My son, Ryan, had a great experience at Life. Rick S. was one of his favorite instructors. He was patient and calm. Rick also taught the kids extra driving skills like how to pump gas and go through a car wash.

Experiencia fantástica: I think that the classes went by faster than you would think. I believe this happens due to the great teachers, and their enjoyable stories. I think Susan Fritz was one of the most enjoyable people I drove with, she helped pass the time, and made it fun to drive.

Experiencia fantástica: Awesome program with great staff/instructors. They teach all of the basics of the road and above. They are all experienced and have lots of knowledge about the road and cars. If you schedule drives and classes with this program i recommend scheduling drives with Rick. He’s chill, knows everything about the road and will share all of his knowledge with you.

Experiencia negativa: I have seen only 5 star reviews coupled with a schedule that was convenient for us so I decided to go for it despite the major safety concerns I had from watching student drivers in the community including their own staff speeding through my neighborhood. My daughter is very smart, and walked away with knowing the book content inside out. As far as road readiness- DEFINITELY NOT PLEASED. The hours spent behind the wheel during the program seem to be a fraction of what I had when driving. She has had her permit for a month and we have had to teach her everything on the road. I doubt we will return for phase 2.

They are really amazing quality and quick to resolve any issues you might have. my class instructor Rick made the textbook side of things easy to understand and interesting, and Jeff was an amazing driving instructor, making it a fun and simpler experience instead of stressful. I am so thankful I found this driving school, would definitely recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: When my first child was ready for driving lessons, I had a lot of Mother's anxiety. But my son Shane had a wonderful experience at Life Driving Academy! His Segment 1&2 teachers- Jeff, Susan, Ethan and Bethann- were amazing! His driving instructors- Alicia, Dennis, Bob, Rick and Tom- were awesome! They all helped him to become a safe and confident young driver. Also, special thanks to the ladies in the office! Avery, Sarah, Amber, Maribeth and Katie were all wonderful in coordinating our busy schedules. And I have to mention Norene- she is such a sweetheart! She graciously assisted us in Novi even though the office was closed. You will definitely be seeing my other five kids (and many of their friends) in the near future! Life is wonderful!

My classroom teacher was Jeff (coach), and I really enjoyed the class. The classmates I had were fantastic. Just overall 10/10, all the other teachers I had were great. Shane had really fascinating stories when he came in to teach for a couple of days, and all the other drive instructors I had did well. Thanks, yall!

Experiencia fantástica: I just finished Segment 1 with LDA and it was a fantastic experience! The classes were well done and not overly boring, and the fill-in-the-blank workbook was very helpful (especially since all the exam questions were bolded so I knew to study those extra). I found the test easy and the presentation of the laws and regulations intuitive and easy-to-remember. The drives were good too, and for the most part the instructors were patient and clear in their directions. Two drivers particularly stood out: Karen was very knowledgeable about the state requirements and reviewed test questions while I drove (in class later that week Shane was amazed at the obscure topics she had taught us), and, since it was my first drive and I didn't feel comfortable immediately starting out on the open road, she let me drive circles in the Cultural Center parking lot for ~10 minutes, which I was super grateful for. Dennis was likewise quite good - I drove on the freeway for the first time with him and and he also did my Drive 6 evaluation, and he was particularly kind and accommodating in helping me reduce in-car distractions (radio, etc.) to keep my mind on the road. Thanks so much to Karen, Dennis, and everyone at LDA for the part they played in me getting my level 1 permit; it was awesome and I can't wait for the segment 2 class in a couple of months!
