Experiencia fantástica: This is the best driving school I have been to! I went to another driving school a few years ago and it was nowhere near as helpful as Defensive Driving; I learned a lot more here than I would have anywhere else. All the coaches I had lessons with were spectacular, especially Vince. I had a lot better practice with traffic, highways (even I-95), and lane changes with Defensive Driving than I did when I went to a different driving school before I started college. Everything is very well organized and you can schedule all lessons through drive scout. The whole process is very easy, helped me finally get my license at 21, and helped me become more comfortable with driving again after having been in an accident with in which I was not at fault before starting college.

I was impossibly stressed and afraid of driving before I started taking my lessons with Defensive Driving. Vince Hickman was my instructor. I highly recommend him! He didn't realize it until 30min after the lesson finished. Vince drove back and delivered the phone to us! Troy delivered the last lessons thoroughly and smoothly. My son was confident for the road test and he passed! Overall we had a great experience with DDA and will highly recommend it.

And instructors instruct in correct way make you motivated and ready for exam. Taking exam is good experience too. I searched up top rated driving schools near me and came across this one. I chose a day that worked for me and got paired up with the dopest instructor ever Vince Hickman. Within 4 (2) hour classes I was able to take and pass my drivers test on the first shot. Cannot recommend them enough!

They were very patient and assured me of what I was doing. After just 3 lessons, I was ready and passes with a perfect score, and it was all thanks to the instructors. Experiencia fantástica: Got the 4 lesson plan for our son, with the last one being the driver’s exam at their location. It was worth every penny! Our son said that every instructor was patient, kind and told him the things he needed to work on for the next lesson. They walked him through the exam and taught him how to parallel park in a way that was easy to understand. Dino who gave him his exam was amazing and made our son feel comfortable during the exam. The certificate for our insurance is a huge plus too. He passed his exam and we can’t say enough about DDA!

Experiencia positiva: The classes are good, and the result is that your child will pass, but scheduling and communicating with this company is less than ideal. I got charged $40 for rescheduling 1 class the day before. My account was completely shut down until I paid. It was not an easy system to get the class rescheduled and to get my account back up and running. Inconvenient, and delayed us getting the remainder of the classes sooner.

Experiencia negativa: I am a bike rider. The other day their car drove past me. There were two people in car so I assumed they were teaching a driver. They did NOT give me the PA state mandated 4 feet when they passed me.

They made her a much better driver than we could alone. DDA also gives them the driver's test so you do not have to schedule with Penndot. All and all, it was worth the price.

Although I did drive for some time before hand DDA provided great insight on the rules of the road, how the test is structured, and being very understanding/calm if and when there was a mistake made. I would recommend the instructor Phil Caponi he was very insightful, cool. and calm during the two lessons I had with them. Would highly recommend DDA overall to anyone not sure if they would want to take these lessons and or are unsure about the DMV testing. Thanks!

We signed up for 2 hours parallel parking lesson and road driving test, they both passed the first time. My daughter said instructor Joyce was easy to talk to, provided excellent training and taught her the correct way to do parallel parking. I highly recommend them to new drivers.

They check all the boxes making sure teens know where all the safety features are and how to use them, then make sure they can safely operate the vehicle in real highway conditions. Experiencia negativa: Teachers were good, no issues there. Dealing w the company is awful. Availability for classes and testing is mostly during school hrs. Getting anyone to respond or resolve issues - impossible. Person that picks up the phone cannot answer questions, does not pass on messages to a manager/owner, or if they do, then the person in charge is not responsible. If you get a msg that a lesson spot is available and you try to register for it on website or app - cannot. Other than the actual teachers - there was nothing positive or smooth about our experience with this company. Shout out to great teacher - Terry McGonigle.

Experiencia fantástica: Signed my daughter up for some lessons, and to take the test with DD. She had Phil as her instructor and he was very nice, helpful, pleasant and professional. All the employees that we dealt with at defensive driving were very helpful and I was very pleased with the results.

Experiencia negativa: Lessons are great. Scheduling is a nightmare. Unless it's summer and you have the middle to the day free, expect to be jumping on the computer on the 10th of every month to try to get an appointment on a weekend or day off. 9:30 - 2:30 windows of availabilty for school students makes no sense and this includes the drivers test M-F. Know that you can schedule later test times from Penndot directly. I got a 3:30pm appt and even though hours of operation say 7:30 - 3, they don't have instructors who can perform the tests until usually 9:30am during the week. Your teen will miss school and you will need to get them back to class after the appt. We ended up scheduling 6 hours of just lessons and scheduling the test direct with penndot.

I had Lisa for a quick review which I highly recommend before taking the test and she was great. I had John for the test and he was really nice. We talked while taking the test and I felt really comfortable!

For 125 I got to get a feel for the DDA car, practice parallel parking & drive the test route ! I was also able to ask questions during the review! My examiner John was amazing! He made me feel comfortable, he was patient and did not make it feel like a test. I have tested at the DMV 2 times and failed both due to nerves and the examiners not making me feel relaxed. DDA is totally worth the money! I never experienced their lessons but I am sure they are amazing! Unlike the DMV, DDA wants you to pass!

This time my daughter was struggling as well with parallel parking and took the quick course before her test. She passed with flying colors. The staff here is amazing. They put my daughter at ease. Both the instructor who did the express course and the tester. If I had anymore children I would take them all here even if just to take the test, because they are so nice and actually ease a persons nerves.

I needed help teaching her how to parallel park and your instructor taught her how to do it in about 5 minutes! The same instructor tested her she had nothing but good things to say about him. I really wish that I got his name, but it was on 10/12/23 at 8am and I believe that he drove a gray Nissan Rogue to work that day. Thank you DDA, I will refer everyone your way!

At first, I was a bit nervous about this test, (as I believe we all are), but Joyce made my whole testing experience so pleasant and easy. She’s so supportive from start-to-finish and always very positive. Additionally, I have always been so scared of the parallel parking, but John, who was my instructor for the parallel parking (I took the express 15 min lesson before taking the real test) taught me very well on how to properly park. The coaches Joe and Meredith were really patient and thorough to ensure you learn well and be a good driver on the road.
